Job summary

Flextronics - The Flex Company in Coimbatore is seeking an Associate Engineer to support Engineering Change Management for new product introductions. You will create BOM part numbers, manage ECOs, and coordinate with engineering and materials teams across global sites.

You will work with PLM systems to create and release ECOs, review drawings, and respond to partner queries, ensuring on-time delivery and adherence to process metrics.

Qualifications

• Diploma or B.Sc (EEE/ECE) graduate with 0–2 years of experience as a NPI/ECO Engineer in Manufacturing, Preferably in EMS Industry.
• NPI (New Product Introduction) ECO (Engineering Change Order) BOM Management
• Hands on Experience in PLM software linked to ECO process
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English (MANDATORY)
• Knowledge of MS Office and MS Outlook
• Good analytical skills
• Coaching & mentoring skills
• Conflict resolution

Responsibilities

• Creating part numbers for BOM in agile & Baan
• Creating AVL in agile & Baan system
• Downloading customer documents like product specifications and releasing them in CDC
• Working as a Change Analyst during NPI for new changes
• Release Part list to production for new models after ECO implementation
• Managing ECOs for manufacturing sites across the globe
• Using Agile (PLM) system for ECO creation, reviewing, routing, tracking, releasing and distribution
• Coordinating with site Process/Product Engineering teams
• Reviewing product updates/modifications with Engineering and materials teams
• Responding to Business Partner and customer queries relating to ECOs
• Ensuring targets for all Process Metrics are met

What a typical day looks like:

Creating part numbers for BOM in agile & BaanCreating AVL in agile & Baan system.Downloading customer documents like product specifications etc & releasing same in CDCWork as a Change Analysts during NPI for new changes.Release Part list to production for new models & after implementation of ECO'sEfficiently managing ECOs for manufacturing sites across the globeUse Agile (PLM) system for ECO (Engineering Change Order) creation, reviewing, routing, tracking, releasing and distribution.Study the ECOs / Drawings closely and coordinate with the site Process / Product Engineering team.Work closely with Engineering and materials teams to review product updates / modifications.Respond to Business Partner (requestor) and customer on queries relating to Engineering Change OrdersEnsure adherence to targets set for all Process Metrics.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

• Diploma or B.SC (EEE/ECE) graduate with (0-2) years of experience as a NPI/ECO Engineer in Manufacturing set up Preferably in EMS Industry.
