Job summary

Flex Ltd. in Chennai is seeking a Junior Engineer - GBS Engineering to support NPI/ECO processes and BOM management. The role involves coordinating with ERP/PLM systems like BAAN and Agile, handling ECOs, and assisting with product updates across global manufacturing sites.

The ideal candidate has a BE in ECE/EEE/E&I with 0-2 years' experience, is comfortable with night shifts, and possesses strong MS Office and PLM skills. Flex offers health insurance and PTO as part of the package.

Responsibilities

• Create part numbers for BOM in Agile & Baan.
• Download customer documents like product specifications and release in CDC.
• Create setup like product numbers and BOM Structure in AGILE & BAAN for new products.
• Act as Change Analyst during NPI for new changes.
• Release Part list to production for new models and after ECO implementation.
• Manage ECOs for manufacturing sites across the globe.
• Use Agile (PLM) system for ECO creation, reviewing, routing, tracking, releasing and distribution.
• Coordinate with site Process / Product Engineering teams on ECOs and drawings.
• Review product updates / modifications with Engineering and materials teams.
• Respond to Business Partner queries on ECOs.
• Adhere to process targets and generate reports/dashboards.
• Train new and existing team members on tools/topics.
• Perform root cause analysis to expedite issue resolution.
• Identify and implement efficiencies in procurement processes.
• Prepare customized reports for process improvements.

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we\'re looking to add a Junior Engineer - GBS Engineering located in Chennai.

What a typical day looks like:

• Creating part numbers for BOM in Agile & Baan.
• Downloading customer documents like product specifications etc & releasing same in CDC.
• Creating setup like product Number, BOM Structure etc in AGILE & BAAN for new Products.
• Work as a Change Analysts during NPI for new changes.
• Release Part list to production for new models & after implementation of ECO's.
• Efficiently managing ECOs for manufacturing sites across the globe.
• Use Agile (PLM) system for ECO (Engineering Change Order) creation, reviewing, routing, tracking, releasing and distribution.
• Study the ECOs / Drawings closely and coordinate with the site Process / Product Engineering team.
• Work closely with Engineering and materials teams to review product updates / modifications.
• Respond to Business Partner (requestor) and customer on queries relating to Engineering Change Orders.
• Ensure adherence to targets set for all Process Metrics.
• Ensure timely generation and circulation of reports / dashboards.
• Train new and existing team members on an ongoing basis on relevant tools or topics.
• Perform root cause analysis to expedite the resolution of service issues.
• Identify, recommend, and implement operational efficiencies to drive continuous improvement in the execution of procurement processes.
• Prepare Customized reports for analyzing and incorporating improvements in processes.

The experience we\'re looking to add to our team:

• B.E (ECE/EEE/E&I) graduate with (0-2) years of experience as a NPI/ECO Engineer in Manufacturing set up, preferably in EMS industry.
• Flexible to work in night shifts.
• Hands on experience in the following domain: i. NPI (New Product Introduction), ii. ECO (Engineering Change Order management), iii. BOM (Bill of Materials) Management, iv. Price Matrix Process.
• Working Knowledge of ERP, preferably BAAN.
• Hands on Experience in any PLM software linked to ECO process.
• Should have good Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Power Point & Word skills.
• Command over oral and written skills in English.
• Good analytical skills, logical thinking, Coaching & mentoring skills.
• Should be open for shift.
