Flex is a diversified manufacturing partner enabling brands to design, build, and deliver innovative products. The role of Technician - Engineering Change Management is based in Chennai and focuses on ECO/NPI workflows, BOM management, and PLM-based change control.

You will collaborate with engineering and materials teams to implement ECOs while ensuring timely responses to partner inquiries and adherence to process metrics.

Qualifications

• Diploma or B.Sc in EEE/ECE with 0–2 years in NPI/ECO in manufacturing.
• Preferably in EMS industry.
• Knowledge of BOM management.
• Hands-on experience with PLM software linked to ECO processes.
• Excellent written and oral communication in English (mandatory).
• MS Office/MS Outlook proficiency.
• Strong analytical and coaching/mentoring skills.
• Conflict resolution abilities.

Responsibilities

• Create part numbers for BOM in agile & Baan.
• Create AVL in agile & Baan system.
• Download customer docs and release in CDC.
• Act as Change Analyst during NPI for new changes.
• Release part lists to production for new models and ECOs.
• Manage ECOs for manufacturing sites globally.
• Use PLM system for ECO creation, reviewing, routing, tracking, releasing, distributing.
• Coordinate ECOs with site Process/Product Engineering teams.
• Review product updates with Engineering and materials teams.
• Respond to requests from Business Partners on ECO queries.

Technician - Engineering Change Management in Chennai

What a typical day looks like:

• Creating part numbers for BOM in agile & Baan
• Creating AVL in agile & Baan system.
• Downloading customer documents like product specifications etc & releasing same in CDC
• Work as a Change Analysts during NPI for new changes.
• Release Part list to production for new models & after implementation of ECO's
• Efficiently managing ECOs for manufacturing sites across the globe
• Use Agile (PLM) system for ECO (Engineering Change Order) creation, reviewing, routing, tracking, releasing and distribution.
• Study the ECOs / Drawings closely and coordinate with the site Process / Product Engineering team.
• Work closely with Engineering and materials teams to review product updates / modifications.
• Respond to Business Partner (requestor) and customer on queries relating to Engineering Change Orders
• Ensure adherence to targets set for all Process Metrics.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

• Diploma or B.SC (EEE/ECE) graduate with (0-2) years of experience as a NPI/ECO Engineer in Manufacturing set up
• Preferably in EMS Industry.

• Hands on Experience in any PLM software linked to ECO process
