Job summary

Flextronics - The Flex Company in Coimbatore is seeking an Associate Engineer for Engineering Change Management. You will handle ECOs, BOM and AVL creation, and coordinate with site engineers to implement product changes across manufacturing sites.

The role requires 0–2 years in NPI/ECO engineering, a Diploma or B.Sc (EEE/ECE), hands-on PLM experience, and strong English communication. Proficiency in MS Office and collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma or B.SC (EEE/ECE) graduate with 0-2 years of NPI/ECO experience in manufacturing, preferably EMS.
• NPI ECO BOM management and part release processes.
• Hands-on experience with PLM software linked to ECO processes.
• Excellent written and oral communication in English (mandatory).
• Knowledge of MS Office and MS Outlook.
• Good analytical skills and problem-solving ability.
• Coaching & mentoring skills and conflict resolution.

Responsibilities

• Create BOM part numbers in Agile & Baan systems.
• Create AVL in Agile & Baan system.
• Download customer documents and release in CDC.
• Work as Change Analyst during NPI for new changes.
• Release part lists to production for new models and ECOs.
• Efficiently manage ECOs for manufacturing sites globally.
• Use PLM system for ECO creation, reviewing, routing, tracking, releasing.
• Study ECOs/drawings and coordinate with site Process/Product Engineering.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Materials teams on updates.
• Respond to Business Partner queries on ECOs.
• Ensure adherence to targets for process metrics.

Job Summary To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add an Associate Engineer - Engineering Change Management in Coimbatore.

What a typical day looks like:

• Creating part numbers for BOM in agile & Baan
• Creating AVL in agile & Baan system.
• Downloading customer documents like product specifications etc & releasing same in CDC
• Work as a Change Analysts during NPI for new changes.
• Release Part list to production for new models & after implementation of ECO's
• Efficiently managing ECOs for manufacturing sites across the globe
• Use Agile (PLM) system for ECO (Engineering Change Order) creation, reviewing, routing, tracking, releasing and distribution.
• Study the ECOs / Drawings closely and coordinate with the site Process / Product Engineering team.
• Work closely with Engineering and materials teams to review product updates / modifications.
• Respond to Business Partner (requestor) and customer on queries relating to Engineering Change Orders
• Ensure adherence to targets set for all Process Metrics.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

• Diploma or B.SC (EEE/ECE) graduate with (0-2) years of experience as a NPI/ECO Engineer in Manufacturing set up Preferably in EMS Industry.
• NPI (New Product Introduction) ECO (Engineering Change Order management) BOM (Bill Of Materials) Management
• Hands on Experience in any PLM software linked to ECO process
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English MANDATORY.
• Knowledge of MS office and MS outlook
• Good analytical skills.
• Coaching & mentoring skills.
