Job summary

Flex in Coimbatore invites an Associate Engineer, Quality to join our manufacturing team. You will support quality systems, supplier qualification, and continuous improvement initiatives across EMS and electronics product manufacturing.

You'll engage in PPAP, ISO/IATF, measurement techniques, and data-driven decision making, ensuring supplier quality meets standards while maintaining efficient processes and strong cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Diploma in EEE / ECE / Mech / E&TC required.
• 0–2 years in Automotive/EMS/Electronics manufacturing.
• Basic knowledge of PCB operations, Lean manufacturing, ISO standards.
• Knowledge of measurement techniques.
• Strong planning and prioritization.
• Proficient in MS Office and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Knowledge in Quality Management System, Quality Tools/Terminology.
• Knowledge in EMS / Manufacturing process.
• Support in supplier approval process by assessing manufacturing/technology capabilities and Health, Safety and Environmental risks.
• Support new product launches to ensure that supplier quality meets the required standards.
• Follow up with suppliers for root cause analysis and corrective actions of supplier quality issues.
• Collaborate with suppliers on process improvement and value enhancement opportunities.
• Provide concise, complete, and accurate documentation of inspection results relative to area of responsibility.
• Adhere to process and look for possible process improvements.
• Report on KPIs to adhere to process and prevent occurrence of any non-conformity relating to product, process, or system.
• Have basic knowledge on PPAP, ISO/IATF Standards, Drawing reading.
• Manage and coordinate supplier Material / Non-Material cost recovery for Supplier Quality issues.
• Contribute to continuous improvement activities.
• Quality control of work by appropriate reviews.
• Providing data-driven decision support.

What a typical day looks like:

• Knowledge in Quality Management System, Quality Tools/Terminology.

The experience we're looking to add to our team:

• Diploma in EEE / ECE / Mech / E&TC.
• 0 to 2 years' experience in Automotive Industry /EMS / Electronics Products Manufacturing Industry
• Basic Knowledge in various PCB operations, Lean manufacturing, and ISO standards
• Knowledge of measurement techniques
• Planning and prioritizing activities
• Knowledge of MS office and MS outlook.
• Flexible to work in any time zone.
• Good communication, analytical, logical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Very studious, fast learner and able to adapt to the environment.
• Should be very sincere, dedicated and good team player.
