Job summary

BDO India is seeking a visionary Associate Director (Compensation & Benefits, PMS) to lead performance management and compensation strategy for senior leadership in Mumbai. The role reports to a Partner and requires 8–15 years in related fields.

You will develop appraisal processes, analyze metrics, and partner with Finance and department heads to drive rewards aligned with business goals and growth.

Qualifications

• 8–15 years of experience in Performance Management and Compensation Benefits.
• Experience in a professional services or consulting firm preferred.
• Analytical mindset with ability to translate data into insights and recommendations.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills across senior leadership levels.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain performance appraisal processes, goal-setting methodologies, and continuous feedback systems
• Analyse performance metrics, data trends and report findings to senior leadership
• Collaborate with department heads to draft action plans for underperformance and support succession planning
• Build compensation strategy aligned with business goals, culture, and growth ambitions
• Partner closely with leadership, Finance, and other stakeholders
• Manage the annual compensation planning cycle including merit increases, bonuses, and promotions
• Institutionalize a structured, scalable, and inclusive Performance Management system
• Develop incentive plans (short-term and long-term) aligned with business outcomes
• Identify, evaluate, and implement compensation management tools/systems

Experience: 8-15 years of experience in Performance Management and Compensation Benefits in a professional services firm or similar.

About the Role:

We are seeking a visionary and strategic Head of Performance and Compensation Management (Associate Director level) to lead this area for Senior Leadership at BDO India.

Key Responsibilities:
