Job summary

Atos is seeking a Core Mainframe Developer in India (Chennai/Bengaluru/Mumbai) with 3–6 years of hands-on experience in COBOL, CICS, DB2, JCL and VSAM. You will contribute to maintenance, batch and online processing, and support SDLC compliance.

Responsibilities include impact analysis, SIT/UAT defect analysis, and participation in enhancement projects within Agile teams and cross-functional contexts, with the ability to work independently in a demanding environment.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of experience in Core Mainframe Skills: COBOL, CICS, DB2, JCL, VSAM.
• Experience with Batch and Online processing in mainframe environments.
• Familiarity with SDLC and Agile methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Perform impact analysis and understand technical design.
• Work on enhancements and participate in SDLC processes.
• Conduct SIT/UAT defect analysis and fixes.
• Collaborate in Agile teams and maintain independent work discipline.

Key Skills & Experience

• 3-6 years of experience in Core Mainframe Skills – COBOL, CICS, DB2, JCL, VSAM
• REXX and CLIST knowledge will be added advantage.
• Mainframe experience with hands‑on knowledge in Batch as well as online is Must.
• Should be able to perform impact analysis and understand technical design.
• Should have experience on working on Enhancement projects and fair knowledge of SDLC process.
• Perform SIT/UAT defect analysis and fix the same.
• Should be aware of Agile methodologies
• Telecom domain knowledge is added advantage
• Good communication skills.
• Should have ability to work independently
