Job summary

Atos SE in Chennai seeks an experienced Mainframe Tester to work on core mainframe applications using COBOL, CICS, DB2, JCL and VSAM. The role requires 7-10 years of hands-on mainframe experience and batch/online processing expertise.

You will contribute to migration projects to Raincode/Micro Focus, perform SIT/UAT defect analysis, and collaborate in an Agile environment for high-quality software delivery.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of experience in Core Mainframe Skills – COBOL, CICS, DB2, JCL, VSAM, IMS DB/DC.
• Hands-on knowledge of Batch and online processing is a must.
• Experience with Raincode/Microfocus platform migration projects.
• Familiarity with SDLC and Agile methodologies.

Key Skills & Experience

7-10 years of experience in Core Mainframe Skills – COBOL, CICS, DB2, JCL, VSAM, IMS DB/DC, CICS.

• Mainframe experience with hands-on knowledge in Batch as well as online is Must.
• Nice to have IMS DB/DC, Easytrieve, Assembler and Datacom.
• REXX and CLIST knowledge will be added advantage.
• Should have experience working in mainframe re-hosting/migration projects to Raincode/Microfocus platform.
• Familiarity and hands-on experience in Raincode platform to make code changes, compile, debug and unit-test batch and online.
• Should be able to perform impact analysis and understand technical design.
• Should have experience on working on Enhancement projects and fair knowledge of SDLC process.
• Perform SIT/UAT defect analysis and fix the same.
• Should be aware of Agile methodologies.
• Telecom domain knowledge is added advantage.
• Good communication skills.
• Should have ability to work independently
