Job summary

Adidas in Chennai is seeking an accounting specialist to manage AR, wholesale and e-commerce cash applications, with focus on large markets and timely remittance processing.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of accounting experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform accounting tasks in AR Wholesale/Retail/e-Com for larger markets, handling market-specific cases.
• Follow up credits on remittances and minimize unapplied cash.
• Review tasks by junior members, e.g. cash application.
• Reconcile sales vs. collections for key customers, landlords and online stores.
• Prepare and analyze AR-related reports (deduction, eCom reconciliation, aging).
• Perform and review month-end closing tasks.
• Handle ad hoc requests and coordinate with other streams.
• Coordinate and review audit tasks, ensure quality results within the team.
• Create and maintain desktop procedures; identify inconsistencies and improvement opportunities.
• Support project delivery and drive efficiency and system upgrade initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform accounting tasks in AR Wholesale/Retail/e-Com for larger markets, having to deal with specific cases of each market
• Consistently follow up with credits on Remittances and ensure Unapplied cash is maintained at its minimum.
• Check and review tasks handled by junior members, e.g. cash application,
• Perform sales vs. collection reconciliation for key customers, landlords and online stores
• Perform reports preparation and analysis, e.g. AR deduction report, eCom reconciliation report, Retail aging and collection analysis report
• Perform and review month end closing tasks
• Deal with ad hoc requests and coordinate with other streams
• Perform, coordinate and review audit tasks, reviewing the quality results within team
• Create and maintain desktop procedures, checking for inconsistencies and improvement opportunities
• Support team on project delivery, e.g. efficiency improvement, Wholesale system upgradeRaise and implement smart work ideas

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
