Job summary

TP is seeking a dedicated Cash Applications Executive to ensure precise posting, matching, and reconciliation of incoming payments against open invoices. The role collaborates with Billing, Collections and Treasury to clear unapplied cash and maintain clean AR ledgers.

You will handle multiple payment methods, perform reconciliations, investigate unapplied cash, manage deductions and adjustments, and support month-end close with accurate reporting under company policies and controls.

Responsibilities

• Daily Cash Posting: Receive and apply incoming remittances (Wire, ACH, EFT, Check, Lockbox, Card) into ERP systems (SAP/Oracle).
• Reconciliation: Conduct daily/monthly bank and customer account reconciliations to match receipts with invoices.
• Unapplied/Unidentified Cash Research: Investigate unapplied/short-paid cash with internal/external stakeholders.
• Deductions & Adjustments: Post cash discounts, adjustments, write-offs or refunds per company policy.
• Month-End Close: Support month-end, quarter-end, year-end close per SLAs.
• Reporting: Prepare logs, aging/open-item reports and cash metrics for leadership.
• Compliance: Ensure internal controls and SOX compliance.

Job Summary

The Cash Applications Executive is responsible for the accurate and timely posting, matching, and reconciliation of incoming customer payments against open invoices. This role works closely with Billing, Collections, Treasury, and Onshore/Offshore stakeholders to clear unapplied cash and maintain clean accounts receivable (AR) ledgers

Key Responsibilities

• Daily Cash Posting: Receive and apply incoming customer remittances (Wire, ACH, EFT, Check, Lockbox, and Credit Card payments) into the ERP system (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
• Reconciliation: Perform daily and monthly bank and customer account reconciliations to match receipts with open invoices.
• Unapplied/Unidentified Cash Research: Investigate unapplied, short-paid, or overpaid cash items by collaborating with customer service, billing teams, and external/internal customers.
• Deductions & Adjustments: Handle standard billing adjustments, cash discount postings, and write-offs or refunds in compliance with company credit policies.
• Month-End Close: Support strict month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities within defined service-level agreements (SLAs)
• Reporting: Prepare daily cash receipt logs, open item tracking reports, and aging/unapplied cash metrics for leadership review.
• Compliance: Ensure adherence to internal financial controls, SOX compliance, and accounting standards.
