nVent in Bengaluru seeks a Mechanical engineer with 5+ years in sheet metal quality roles to lead FAT, process audits, and quality documentation. You will ensure adherence to defined processes, coordinate with in-house and supplier teams, and manage UL requirements and third-party testing.

Excellent communication and travel readiness are required as you drive quality improvements across manufacturing and supplier networks in a dynamic global organization.

Formación

• 5+ years of experience in the sheet metal industry with hands-on quality control
• Experience with FAT (final acceptance testing), process audits and quality documentation
• Knowledge of UL requirements, supplier audits and external testing coordination
• Familiarity with welding, plating and powder coating processes is essential
• Strong communication, willingness to travel, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Responsabilidades

• Ensure 100% Customer FAT as per plan and without issues
• Conduct process audits at in-house and supplier ends to ensure product quality
• Ensure defined processes are followed to reduce customer complaints and rejections
• Prepare control documentation for products (check sheets, control plans)
• Report daily FAT completion and timely submissions
• Validate UL requirements and manage renewals and controlled issuance
• Coordinate external testing at 3rd party labs
• Monitor and report cost of quality monthly

What YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION

• Ensuring 100% Customer FAT as per Plan without issues
• Conducting process audits at the in-house and supplier end to ensure product quality
• Ensuring the defined and approved process is followed at the in-house and supplier end to reduce customer complaints and internal rejections
• Preparing necessary control documentation for products – check sheets and control plans
• Reporting every day FAT Completion and report submission on time
• Validating the UL requirements and Managing the renewal & controlled issuance
• Managing external testing at 3rd party labs
• Monitoring and reporting cost of quality on a monthly basis

You have

• Academic background: Bachelor of Engineering - Mechanical
• Min 5 years of experience in the sheet metal industry
• Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication and various manufacturing processes
• Knowledge of welding and plating processes
• Knowledge of the powder coating process
• Knowledge of identification & traceability, and testing of special processes
• Knowledge of supplier audits
• Knowledge of preparation of checklists and work instructions
• Good communication skills, both oral and written
• Willingness to travel frequently, flexibility, and good decision‑making skills
