Job summary

Hitech Corporation Limited is seeking a moulding production supervisor to oversee moulding operations in Tamil Nadu. You will ensure production targets are met across shift schedules while maintaining quality, safety, and housekeeping.

Applicants should have an ITI/ diploma or BE/degree in a relevant discipline, with extensive moulding/production experience and familiarity with IML or robotics being a plus. You will train casual labourers and uphold 5S and ISO standards.

Qualifications

• 13 years of moulding/production experience.

Job description

Job Purpose

To support and supervise moulding production activities, ensuring achievement of production targets while maintaining quality, productivity, safety, housekeeping, and process compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Production & Productivity

• Ensure production is achieved as per the planned shift-wise production schedule.
• Ensure productivity is achieved as per defined production targets.
• Manage and allocate manpower effectively to achieve production targets.
• Carry out mould loading and unloading activities safely and efficiently.
• Monitor the moulding process and troubleshoot issues to minimize production interruptions.

Quality & Process Compliance

• Ensure production is carried out in accordance with defined quality standards and requirements.
• Maintain and complete all production and quality records as per applicable standards.
• Train newly joined casual labourers on quality requirements, work procedures, and safety practices.
• Transfer rejection material from all machines to the designated rejection location every two hours and maintain proper records.
• Periodically check hopper material levels based on the respective hopper capacity and ensure continuous material availability.

Maintenance & Breakdown Management

• In case of any machine or process breakdown, coordinate with the concerned maintenance/support team and ensure timely resolution.
• Support troubleshooting of moulding process-related issues to minimize downtime and production losses.

Housekeeping, Safety & Compliance

• Maintain proper housekeeping standards in the production area.
• Implement and maintain 5S practices in the workplace.
• Carry out ISO-related activities and ensure compliance with applicable procedures and standards.
• Ensure all production activities are carried out safely and in accordance with defined safety practices.

MIS & Reporting

• Enter and maintain production data in the system accurately and on time, as required.
• Prepare and submit production-related reports and provide regular updates to the Head of Department (HOD).

Candidate Profile

• ITI / Diploma / BE / Degree in a relevant discipline.
• Candidates with Polymer Technology / CIPET background will be preferred.
• 13 years of relevant experience in moulding/production operations.
• Good understanding of production processes, quality requirements, and shop-floor practices.
• Ability to manage manpower and achieve production targets.
• Knowledge of IML or Robotics will be an added advantage.
• Good problem-solving and coordination skills.
• Willingness to work in shifts, as required.
