Job summary

Mahindra and Mahindra Limited is seeking a Stores/Materials Manager in Mohali to oversee receipt, storage, and movement of materials in the store. You will ensure SOP adherence, resolve receipt issues, and manage stock transfers in SAP while leading a team and improving processes.

The role requires extensive experience in stores, SAP usage, FIFO/inventory control, and a strong focus on safety and quality initiatives.

Qualifications

• Graduate or Bachelor of Engineering with relevant stores experience.
• Engineering Diploma with 10–15 years of stores experience.

Responsibilities

• Receipt and storage of material in store as per location.
• Ensure SOPs in receiving and inventory handling.
• Address day-to-day problems of customers related to material receipt.
• Handle invoicing, GRN, RGP/NRGP, stock transfers in SAP.
• Daily material receipt verification by audits.
• Manage manpower and ensure MH equipment availability.
• Prepare MIS reports (TAT/GRN reconciliation, material movement).
• Suggest improvements based on team observations.
• Experience with SAP, FIFO, and inventory control.
• Ensure safety of personnel, equipment and material; enforce 5S.
• Participate in quality circle, CRE, Kaizen and yellow belt projects.
• Coordinate routinely with various departments.

Receipt and Storage of material in store as per location.Ensure Standard operating procedures (SOP) in receiving.Solving day to day problems of customers related to material receipt.Sale/Rejection Invoicing ; GRN ; RGP/NRGP; Stock transfer, etc. in SAP.Material Receipt verification by audit on daily basis.Manpower Management and ensure MH equipment availability.MIS reports. (TAT/GRN Reconciliation/Material Movement/Short or Excess Receipt.Observations on problems faced by team and improvement suggestions.Experience of working in SAP, FIFO Management, Inventory management.Safety of men, machine and material in working area and 5S.Participation in Quality circle, CRE, Kaizen and yellow belt project.Routine Liaison with the various departments
