Job summary

r3 Consultant in Mumbai and Pune seeks an Assistant Sales Manager (ASM) to drive insurance sales, manage a sales team, and expand distribution channels. You will lead customer acquisition, coach Advisors, and ensure market penetration.

The role requires 2–5 years in life/insurance sales, strong communication, and field presence to achieve targets and maximize persistency and cross-sell opportunities.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in Life insurance sales or direct/channel sales.
• Experience in team handling and target achievement preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and revenue targets.
• Recruit, train, mentor, and manage Insurance Advisors/Agents/Sales Executives.
• Generate new business through direct sales, referrals, and local market activities.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and channel partners.
• Monitor daily sales activities, lead conversion, and team performance.
• Conduct regular field visits and support the team in customer meetings.
• Identify new business opportunities and expand the customer base.
• Ensure proper follow-up on leads and maximize conversion ratios.
• Educate customers about suitable insurance products such as Life Insurance, Health .
• Ensure compliance with company policies, IRDAI guidelines, and sales processes.
• Prepare daily/weekly/monthly sales reports and provide performance updates to the reporting manager.
• Handle customer queries and coordinate with internal teams for smooth policy issuance and servicing.
• Drive persistency, renewals, cross-selling, and up-selling initiatives.
