Modern Quests in Mumbai is hiring an Assistant Store Manager to lead day-to-day store operations, coach staff, and drive sales. The role requires managing customer interactions, ensuring brand visual merchandising, and handling POS transactions with accuracy.

The ideal candidate will have 5–7 years in retail with supervisory experience, a Diploma or Bachelor’s degree, and excellent spoken and written English. This is a full-time on-site position at the Khar West location.

Responsibilities

• Use POS software and payment machines for smooth transactions.
• Perform inventory checks to match stock with inventory software.
• Manage store staff and plan weekly/monthly rosters for coverage.

Modern Quests is a premium retailer that sells home decor, tableware, kitchenware & bathroom accessories. We sell more than 5,000 products across various home categories and have strong brand presence in online and offline retail. This is an exciting opportunity to join our retail team as an Assistant Store Manager in Mumbai.

Location:

Khar West, Near Linking Road

Main Responsibilities Include:

• 1. Ensure retail store operates smoothly and all staff is well trained to handle customers
• 2. Interact with walk-in customers & explain the products and their usage to drive sales
• 3. Ensure all collections and categories are displayed as per brand VM requirements
• 4. Use POS software and payment machines to ensure transactions are handled smoothly
• 5. Perform inventory checks routinely to ensure stock is matching as per inventory software
• 6. Manage store staff and plan weekly and month rosters to ensure sufficient coverage

Required Candidate Profile:

• 1. Minimum 5-7 years of experience in retail sales with some previous managerial experience
• 2. Previous experience in home decor, furnishings or furniture would be preferred
• 3. Diploma / Bachelors Degree or equivalent from a reputed university
• 4. Should have excellent spoken and written English
• 5. Strong verbal communication skills and an accommodating attitude to handle customer queries
