Bal Raksha Bharat in Noida invites applications for the role of Assistant-PIU (Community Mobiliser) in the Programme Operations department. Responsibilities

• Identify and enroll children aged 6-14 years and ensure their enrollment MAC.
• Ensure the safety of children while they are coming to MAC and back home.
• Implement planned activities and community level engagements as per plan.
• Mobilize stakeholders during planning and development meetings, workshops.
• Identify local level partners and facilitate partnerships in program implementation.
• Document impact and success stories monthly, quarterly and annually.
• Follow-up on commitments by local leaders to improve children's wellbeing.
• Document progress and case studies and share with the line manager.
• Collect and submit MIS information and monthly progress reports.
• Achieve mobilization targets and perform any other tasks assigned by the line manager.

ROLE PURPOSE

Community Mobilizer will identify and support in rehabilitating children aged 6 to 14 years engaged in all forms of child labour, look after the operations of the MACs including supporting children to use materials provides. S/he will also be responsible to maintain cordial relationship with external stakeholders at community level along with like schools, parents & community leaders. Also acts as Bal Raksha Bharat s advocacy representative in the area to a broad range of external stakeholders including relevant government departments on issues related to play way quality primary education.

SCOPE OF ROLE

Scope: The person will be responsible for mobilization of project stakeholder including children, community people and other relevant stakeholders and conducting planned activities

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY

The key area of accountability required will be as follows:

• Identification of children and adolescents (aged 6-14 years) and ensuring their enrollment MAC.
• Ensure the safety of children while they are coming and MAC and back to home.
• Ensure implementation of planned activities and community level engagements as per plan
• Mobilize and facilitate the engagements of stakeholders during planning and development meetings, workshops.
• Identify local level partners, support and facilitate the partnership in the implementation of planned activities.
• Support the collection and documentation of impact and success stories on monthly, quarterly and annually.
• Follow-up on commitments by local leaders on improvement of the wellbeing of children.
• S/he would support in document periodic progress, case studies of best practices etc of her assigned area and share with the line manager
• Support in collection and submission of all MIS related information and data
• Submit monthly progress report to the line manager.
• Responsible to achieve the desired mobilization target
• Any other task assigned by the line manager

• Level 1: The role holder will not have contact with children and/or young people, or access to personal data about children or young people, as part of their work; therefore a police check will not be mandatory unless the content or location of the role changes, in which case the Child Safeguarding level will be reviewed.
• Level 2: Either the role holder will have access to personal data about children and/or young people as part of their work; or they will be working in a regulated position (Finance, Monitoring & Evaluation, Legal etc.); therefore a police check will be required.
