Job summary

Macrocosm Commercials seeks an Assistant Manager Production (Wiring Devices) at its Umale Manufacturing Plant in Jalgaon, Maharashtra. You will lead fully automatic assembly lines for switches, sockets, USB chargers, HDMI modules and related products, ensuring targets, quality and BIS compliance.

With 7–10 years in wiring devices manufacturing and 3–5 years on automatic lines, you will optimize OEE, train staff, and drive continuous improvement while coordinating with cross-functional teams to

• 7–10 years of experience in wiring devices or switchgear manufacturing.
• 3–5 years of experience in fully automatic assembly lines.
• Bachelor or Diploma in Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise fully automatic assembly line operations.
• Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly production targets through effective manpower and machine planning.
• Optimize OEE, cycle time, line balancing, and machine utilization.
• Manage machine setup, changeovers, commissioning, and process validation.
• Troubleshoot production issues related to PLC, sensors, pneumatic, and servo systems with the Maintenance team.
• Ensure in-process quality control, product traceability, and compliance with BIS standards.
• Conduct root cause analysis using 8D, 5 Why, and CAPA to eliminate recurring issues.
• Develop and maintain SOPs, Work Instructions, PFMEA, and Control Plans.
• Coordinate with Quality, R&D, Planning, Tool Room, Maintenance, and Stores for smooth production execution.
• Drive Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, cost reduction, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Train and mentor engineers, technicians, and operators on safety and standard operating procedures.

  Job Summary

  
  The Assistant Manager - Production (Wiring Devices) will lead production activities on fully automatic assembly lines for wiring devices, including switches, sockets, USB chargers, HDMI modules, and other modular electrical products. The role is responsible for achieving production targets, optimizing machine utilization, improving OEE, ensuring product quality, minimizing downtime, and driving continuous improvement while ensuring compliance with BIS standards and safe manufacturing practices.
