Job summary

A global engineering firm is seeking an Assistant Mechanical BIM Engineer/Modeller to join their Water discipline. The role involves managing BIM information quality, modeling in Autodesk Revit, and ensuring multidisciplinary coordination for infrastructure projects in Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Noida. Ideal candidates should have a diploma in Civil or Mechanical Engineering and relevant experience in the water sector. Qualifications

• Experience in the water industry; preference for UK-specific experience.
• Professional, self-motivated attitude and teamwork ability.
• UK-specific experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage the quality and accuracy of BIM information.
• Model and validate mechanical, structural and electrical detailing in Revit.
• Produce construction drawings, details, sections and schedules.
• Model RCC and structural steel building elements, openings, stairs, platforms, trenches, and chambers.
• Maintain model set-up, families and worksets across projects.
• Produce construction drawings, details, sections and schedules.
• Review modelling issues and coordinate between all engineering disciplines to resolve them and ensure timely delivery.
• Handle Point Cloud data when required (additional advantage).

Assistant Mechanical BIM Engineer/Modeller (MEP)

The role is for a dedicated BIM Engineer/Modeller within Mott MacDonald’s Water discipline, focused on delivering high‑quality BIM content and supporting multidisciplinary coordination for infrastructure projects based in Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Noida.

Responsibilities

• Manage the quality and accuracy of BIM information in accordance with required standards and levels of detail.
• Model and validate mechanical, structural and electrical detailing in Revit, including generation of 2D drawings and schedules.
• Apply knowledge of pipe materials, piping systems, fittings, cable trays, conduits, cable trenches, and cable ducts.
• Model RCC and structural steel building elements, openings, stairs, platforms, trenches, and chambers.
• Maintain model set‑up, families and worksets across projects.
• Produce construction drawings, details, sections and schedules.
• Review modelling issues and coordinate between all engineering disciplines to resolve them and ensure timely delivery.
• Handle Point Cloud data when required (additional advantage).

Candidate Specification

• Diploma in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience in the water industry; preference for UK‑specific experience.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks and AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of Bentley ProjectWise or BIM 360 is a plus.
