Job summary

Sony Music Entertainment in Mumbai is seeking an Assistant Manager – Video Partnerships to drive growth and monetization of our catalogue across YouTube, Meta, Snapchat and other video platforms. The role focuses on extending content life through new formats, working with artists, creators and vendors to grow audience and revenue.

You will own YouTube strategy, manage a content pipeline, and mentor a team while leveraging analytics to guide decisions in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • 4–6 years of experience in digital content, YouTube, social media, music, or catalogue growth.
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of YouTube Studio and YouTube Analytics.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Ability to independently own projects and manage teams.

Responsibilities

  • Own YouTube and video platform strategy for catalogue growth, driving views, engagement, audience and revenue.
  • Identify high-potential catalogue tracks and create new opportunities through recreations, remixes, edits, Shorts, lyric videos and other formats.
  • Build and manage a catalogue content pipeline, working with internal teams, creators and vendors from concept to execution.
  • Manage video recreations and edits, ensuring quality, timely delivery and alignment with creative direction.
  • Use platform analytics and dashboards to track performance, identify opportunities and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Drive content discoverability and performance through packaging, thumbnails, metadata, playlists, publishing and platform best practices.
  • Track music/video trends, creators and emerging formats to identify opportunities for Sony Music’s catalogue.
  • Manage multiple projects and work cross-functionally to execute and scale catalogue growth initiatives.
  • Manage and mentor team members.

Who you are:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and reporting.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Ability to independently own projects, manage teams/stakeholders and work in a fast-paced environment.
