Job summary

Mahindra And Mahindra Limited in Bengaluru is seeking an Assistant Manager for the TCF Assembly line to manage manufacturing operations, ensure production targets, and drive quality, productivity, safety, cost optimization, and continuous improvement.

You will coordinate with Quality, Design, SCM, IE, and Maintenance; lead line balancing, capacity improvements, cycle time reduction, and OEE; support NPI and ramp-up; ensure compliance with SOPs, PFMEA, EHS, and automotive standards; develop teams

Qualifications

• BE Mechanical or Production is required as per industry standards.
• Experience in EV vehicle assembly and manufacturing processes.
• PFMEA, Control Plan, SOP & Process Validation knowledge.
• Line Balancing, Capacity Planning, Productivity Improvement experience.
• Familiarity with 7 QC Tools, Fishbone Analysis, 8D & RCA.

Responsibilities

• Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly production targets with optimum utilization of manpower and resources.
• Drive PQCDSM improvements on the shopfloor.
• Lead line balancing, capacity enhancement, cycle time reduction, and OEE improvement.
• Monitor FPY and reduce defects, rework, and process losses.
• Conduct RCA and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Coordinate with Quality, Design, SCM, IE, Maintenance, and Manufacturing teams.
• Support NPI, pilot builds, and production ramp-up activities.
• Ensure SOPs, Control Plans, PFMEA, EHS requirements, and automotive quality standards.
• Develop production teams through training and performance management.
• Drive Lean Manufacturing, TPM, Kaizen, 5S, and cost reduction initiatives.

Assistant Manager - TCF Assembly Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

Job Purpose The incumbent will be responsible for managing manufacturing operations for the Electric 3W TCF (Trim, Chassis & Final Assembly) Line. The role is responsible for ensuring achievement of production targets while driving quality, productivity, safety, cost optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives. The incumbent will work closely with Cross Functional Teams (Quality, Supply Chain, Maintenance, IE, and Product Engineering) to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

• Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly production targets with optimum utilization of manpower and resources.
• Drive productivity, quality, cost, delivery, and safety (PQCDSM) improvements on the shopfloor.
• Lead line balancing, capacity enhancement, cycle time reduction, and OEE improvement activities.
• Monitor and improve First Pass Yield (FPY) and reduce defects, rework, and process losses.
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Coordinate with Quality, Design, SCM, IE, Maintenance, and Manufacturing teams for issue resolution.
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI), pilot builds, and production ramp-up activities.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs, Control Plans, PFMEA, EHS requirements, and automotive quality standards.
• Develop production teams through skill enhancement, training, and performance management.
• Drive Lean Manufacturing, TPM, Kaizen, 5S, and cost reduction initiatives.
