Job summary

Mahindra and Mahindra Limited in Bengaluru, Karnataka, seeks an experienced production operations professional for the Electric 3W TCF Line. You will drive PQCDSM targets, optimize productivity and safety, and collaborate with Quality, SCM, Maintenance, IE, and Product Engineering to ensure smooth line performance.

Responsibilities include line balancing, capacity planning, FPY improvement, RCA, NPI support, SOP/ PFMEA compliance, and Lean initiatives.

Qualifications

• BEMechanical/Production BE/B.Tech with relevant EV manufacturing exposure.
• Experience in EV vehicle assembly and manufacturing processes is required.
• Knowledge of PFMEA, Control Plan, SOPs and process validation is essential.

Responsibilities

• Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly production targets on the Electric 3W TCF line with optimum resource utilization.
• Drive PQCDSM improvements on the shop floor, focusing on productivity, quality, cost, delivery, safety, and environment.
• Lead line balancing, capacity planning, cycle time reduction, and OEE improvement activities.
• Monitor FPY, reduce defects and rework, and conduct RCA with corrective actions.
• Coordinate with Quality, Design, SCM, IE, Maintenance, and Manufacturing for issue resolution.
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI), pilot builds, and production ramp-up activities.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs, PFMEA, EHS and automotive quality standards.
• Develop production teams through training, skill enhancement, and performance management.
• Drive Lean Manufacturing, TPM, Kaizen, 5S and cost-reduction initiatives.

The incumbent will be responsible for managing manufacturing operations for the Electric 3W TCF (Trim, Chassis & Final Assembly) Line. The role is responsible for ensuring achievement of production targets while driving quality, productivity, safety, cost optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives. The incumbent will work closely with Cross Functional Teams (Quality, Supply Chain, Maintenance, IE, and Product Engineering) to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

• Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly production targets with optimum utilization of manpower and resources.
• Drive productivity, quality, cost, delivery, and safety (PQCDSM) improvements on the shopfloor.
• Lead line balancing, capacity enhancement, cycle time reduction, and OEE improvement activities.
• Monitor and improve First Pass Yield (FPY) and reduce defects, rework, and process losses.
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Coordinate with Quality, Design, SCM, IE, Maintenance, and Manufacturing teams for issue resolution.
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI), pilot builds, and production ramp-up activities.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs, Control Plans, PFMEA, EHS requirements, and automotive quality standards.
• Develop production teams through skill enhancement, training, and performance management.
