Job summary

Mahindra And Mahindra Ltd. in Pune invites an Engineer to join the Material Costing team, focusing on cost optimization across casting, forging, and machining for two-wheeler components.

You will analyze costs at system and part levels, support business cases, and coordinate with CFT to achieve first-time-right SBC and delta cost changes.

Qualifications

• 2–6 years of experience in cost/material costing or related field.
• Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical/Automobile/Production or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Support cost tracking for material cost of Two Wheeler components across various parts and systems.
• Analyze cost drivers and identify areas for cost reduction through design iterations.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to support business case preparation and cost approvals.
• Prepare benchmarking and delta cost reports across internal and external components.
• Assist in cost change presentation and timely communication of SBC targets.

Job description

Select how often (in days) to receive an alert:

• Support Business case preparation, Monitoring & tracking for Material Cost of Two Wheeler Business.
• Share part/ system wise material cost with PCL Engine Housings, Crankshaft, Handle Bars, Camshaft, Block etc.
• Evaluating Material Cost at System/Part level at different stage of Development of Product from Business case to SOP
• Keep track on timely feasibility comments on SOR basis business case targets
• Support CDMM team to prepare optimised TSO (Technical Signoff)
• Support SSU and PCL on timely SBC (Should be Cost)
• Timely communication of ROCM SBC to SSU and PCL
• Support Internal systems to facilitate necessary cost approvals due to all change events wrt Cost
• Closely work with CFT to get desired cost inputs and First time right SBC.
• Provide visibility on overall material cost and raise necessary risk alarms along with mitigation measures
• Should Be costing for Two Wheeler Proprietory Automotive Components
• Technical Knowhow of various manufacturing process, its cost drivers & ability to optimize the cost through various alternative & optimized process.
• Identify the areas of cost reduction through design iteration & assist design to achieve the cost targets.
• Cost benchmarking of the Internal & external vehicles.
• Support for Presentation of Delta Cost change in Project Lifecycle.
