Job summary

Mahindra And Mahindra Ltd. seeks a cost-focused engineer to manage material costing for two-wheeler automotive components. You will evaluate cost drivers, support cross-functional teams, and drive design-to-cost initiatives to meet target costs.

Responsibilities include cost forecasting, SBC milestones, and presenting cost analyses to senior stakeholders within a manufacturing environment. A background in mechanical or automotive engineering is preferred.

Qualifications

• 2 to 6 years of experience in cost analysis and product costing.
• Strong knowledge of material costing and cost drivers.
• Experience in project management and process improvement.
• Exposure to design-to-cost and target costing.

Responsibilities

• Support cost forecasting and monitoring for material costs of two-wheeler automotive components.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather cost inputs and drive cost targets.
• Prepare and present material cost analyses and cost reduction opportunities.
• Track cost variances and identify actions to meet SBC targets.
• Benchmark internal and external costs and support risk mitigation plans.

Job description

Select how often (in days) to receive an alert:

• Support Business case preparation, Monitoring & tracking for Material Cost of Two Wheeler Business.
• Share part/ system wise material cost with PCL for Headlamp, TailLamp, Wiring Harness, Display Devices, BLDC Hub Motor, ECU etc.
• Evaluating Material Cost at System/Part level at different stage of Development of Product from Business case to SOP
• Keep track on timely feasibility comments on SOR basis business case targets
• Support CDMM team to prepare optimised TSO (Technical Signoff)
• Support SSU and PCL on timely SBC (Should be Cost)
• Timely communication of ROCM SBC to SSU and PCL
• Support Internal systems to facilitate necessary cost approvals due to all change events wrt Cost
• Closely work with CFT to get desired cost inputs and First time right SBC.
• Provide visibility on overall material cost and raise necessary risk alarms along with mitigation measures
• Should Be costing for Two Wheeler Proprietory Automotive Components
• Technical Knowhow of various manufacturing process, its cost drivers & ability to optimize the cost through various alternative & optimized process.
• Identify the areas of cost reduction through design iteration & assist design to achieve the cost targets.
• Cost benchmarking of the Internal & external vehicles.

Support for Presentation of Delta Cost change in Project Lifecycle.
