Job summary

Zepto is looking for an experienced Assistant Manager Payroll to manage end-to-end payroll operations for a large employee population spread across multiple locations. You will ensure payroll accuracy, statutory compliance, HRMS data integrity, and timely vendor coordination.

You will handle payroll processing, reconciliation, deductions, incentives, overtime and settlements; maintain employee data in HRMS and ensure audit readiness.

Qualifications

• 35 years of experience in Payroll or HR Operations.
• Experience managing payroll for large employee populations (1,500–5,000+ employees) across multiple locations.
• Prior exposure to Quick Commerce, E-commerce, Retail, Logistics, Manufacturing, or FMCG is preferred.
• Experience working with outsourced payroll vendors and HRMS platforms.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end monthly payroll and validate payroll inputs.
• Handle payroll reconciliation, salary processing, deductions, incentives, overtime and Full & Final settlements.

• Drive payroll process improvement and automation.
