JAC Recruitment is seeking an Assistant Manager - New Product Development to lead packaging design and process development at our Hansalpur, Gujarat site. The role coordinates design from concept and sample development through customer approval, pilot production, and mass production, while nurturing customer relationships and growing business.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and 2D/3D design.
• Strong knowledge of GD&T, engineering drawings, and BOMs.
• Ability to support design, sample development, process approval, and mass production.
• Excellent coordination with Sales, Planning, Production, QC, and QA.
• Customer relationship management and communication skills.
• Ability to manage development projects within defined budgets and timelines.

Responsabilités

• Develop innovative production techniques and support new design roll-outs.
• Generate ideas for new products and assess profitability, resource availability, and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain complete records and documentation throughout the New Product Development process.
• Coordinate with Sales and Planning teams to obtain relevant project information.
• Coordinate with Quality Control and Quality Assurance teams for job and process approval.
• Work with planners and schedulers to support the smooth flow of jobs.
• Maintain data and files in accordance with company procedures.
• Produce samples using the sample cutter to support the production department.
• Communicate customer requirements clearly to the production team.
• Coordinate quotation submissions and first-article development.
• Manage the transition from customer approval to pilot-lot production and subsequent mass production based on feedback.
• Oversee the overall functions and operations of the development department.
• Maintain regular communication with customers regarding Purchase Orders and service-related activities.
• Address customer issues, complete corrective actions, and communicate outcomes to management.
• Maintain effective customer relationship management.
• Ensure design projects are completed within the agreed budget and timeline.
• Identify prospective customers and opportunities to generate revenue.
• Achieve order bookings in line with monthly budgeted targets.
• Maintain effective relationships with internal and external customers.
• Support the development of new markets and products.

The Assistant Manager - New Product Development (NPD) role supports product design, process development, and the introduction of new packaging solutions at the company’s operations in Hansalpur, Gujarat. The position coordinates design activities from initial concept and sample development through customer approval, pilot production, and mass production, while supporting customer relationships and business growth.

Requirements

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and two-dimensional and three-dimensional design

• Good understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing, engineering drawings, manufacturing processes, and Bills of Materials

• Ability to support product design, sample development, process approval, pilot production, and mass-production activities

• Strong coordination skills for working with Sales, Planning, Production, Quality Control, and Quality Assurance teams

• Customer relationship management and communication skills

• Ability to manage development projects within defined budgets and timelines
