Job summary

PeopleStrong seeks a Quality Assurance/Quality Control professional to coordinate and control all NDT activities for fabrication projects. You will ensure testing, reporting and compliance with project specifications, codes and client requirements, while liaising with Production, QA/QC, Welding, and clients.

The role emphasizes converting daily NDT activity into timely inspections, calibrated equipment usage and thorough documentation to support client audits and project delivery.

Qualifications

  • Minimum NDT Level II in all methods; PCN Level II and ASNT Level 3 preferred.
  • Strong technical competency in RT, UT, MT, PT and PAUT/TOFD; CR/DR also required.
  • Knowledge of ASME, AWS, API and client-specific requirements.
  • Ability to prepare/review NDT procedures, technique sheets and reports.
  • Excellent coordination, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to read vessel, piping, structural and fabrication drawings.
  • Experience with NDT equipment calibration and quality requirements.
  • Proficient in MS Office and digital NDT record management.

  • Maintain NDT databases, records and traceability.
  • Promote safe working practices during NDT activities.

Purpose of Role :

To coordinate, monitor and control all NDT activities for fabrication projects, ensuring timely execution of testing, reporting and compliance with project specifications, applicable codes, client requirements, safety standards and fabrication schedules.

The role shall support effective interaction with Production, Welding, QA/QC, Clients, TPIs and Certifying Authorities to achieve project quality objectives.

Key Responsibility Areas:

  • Prepare, review and implement NDT procedures, technique sheets and inspection plans in accordance with project specifications and applicable codes.
  • Coordinate NDT activities with QA/QC, Production, Welding, Planning, Clients, TPI agencies and Certifying Authorities.
  • Ensure timely execution of RT, UT, MT, PT, PAUT, TOFD and other applicable NDT methods as per project requirements.
  • Monitor daily NDT progress and ensure completion of inspection activities in line with fabrication schedules.
  • Verify validity and calibration status of NDT equipment and ensure compliance with applicable requirements.
  • Surveillance, Witness, Cross checks NDT activities at site and resolve technical issues related to inspection and testing.
  • Review NDT reports and records for completeness, accuracy and compliance prior to submission.
  • Monitor NDT manpower deployment and optimize utilization of resources.
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, client requirements, ASME, AWS, API and other applicable codes and standards.
  • Support client inspections, audits and surveillance activities related to NDT.

  • Zero major client/TPI observations attributable to NDT activities.
  • Effective utilization of NDT manpower and equipment resources.
  • Timely closure of NDT-related non-conformities.
  • Compliance with safety requirements and zero violation during NDT execution.

Specific Skill Sets/Competencies Required:

  • Minimum NDT Level II in all methods, PCN Level II, ASNT NDT LEVEL 3 preferred
