Job summary

NDTS India Pvt. Ltd. seeks an Inspection Engineer/NDT Technician to conduct on-site inspections with focus on safety and quality. You will calibrate and operate inspection equipment, interpret results against standards, and communicate professionally with clients and TPI at the site.

The role requires adaptability to work across locations, timely report submission, and coordination with the team to ensure end-to-end job execution, including occasional site leadership responsibilities.

Qualifications

  • Diploma/Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering with NDT Level 2 certification.
  • Experience in site inspection and safety protocols.
  • Ability to interpret codes and standards and apply them on site.

Responsibilities

  • Perform on-site inspections and ensure safety and quality during execution.
  • Prepare site reports and submit them on time with client signatures where required.
  • Coordinate with team members, site lead, and OM for effective job execution at site.
  • Operate and calibrate inspection equipment per manuals and procedures.
  • Travel to sites for inspection work as needed.
  • Lead site activities when assigned as site lead and ensure daily status reporting.

Job description

Role Definition:- Inspection Engineer/NDT Technician is the ambassador of company at site. He will be
responsible for carrying out inspection activities at site without compromising in safety and quality.

Responsibility Deliverable:
  • Inspection at site
  • Safety at site
  • Regularly updating skills
  • End-to-End Job Execution
  • Site Reports preparation on-time
Task & Activities:
1. Inspection at site
  • Should have sufficient skills and technical knowledge to set up and calibrate equipment and to
    interpret and evaluate results with respect to applicable codes, standards, and specifications for
    which he is qualified.
  • Should be technically sound to communicate with client/TPI at site in a professional manner.
  • Should be able to troubleshoot and innovate at site based on situational requirements.
  • Is responsible for the equipment and accessories used for inspection and should be brought back
    without any damage or repairs.
  • To travel on site to carry out inspection work as and when required.
  • To co-ordinate with team members, site lead, team leads, OM for effective job execution at site.
  • Is responsible for the reports of the job done and should be submitted within the timeline without delays.
2. Safety at site
  • Should be responsible for ensuring complete safety and security at site.
  • Should have knowledge about the PPE requirements (Mandatory/Optional) at different sites.
  • Should have knowledge about the safety protocols to be followed before starting, during and after
    completing any inspection activity at site.
  • To operate the equipment as per operating manuals and procedures.
3. Regularly updating skills
  • Should have the willingness and ability to update his skills based on the requirements of the
  • Should have the flexibility and knowledge to work in different methods/ techniques.
When assigned the role of site lead:
  • To ensure the job is executed within the agreed timelines.
  • To fill the Job Card completely with Client’s signature and stamp and submit the same to Operations
  • To co-ordinate with client, team members, site lead, team leads, OM. for effective job execution
    at site.
  • To ensure daily reporting of job status to team lead/OM/HOD
  • To submit the preliminary reports to client, on site, daily or before leaving the site.
  • To co-ordinate with the client w.r.t. documentation formalities such as gate passes, material entry
    and exit on site, work permits, safety training, police verification certificates etc.
Qualification:

Diploma/Bachelor’s degree (Mechanical Engineering) with relevant NDT LEVEL 2 certification
