Godrej Industries Group seeks an Assistant Manager – Media Finance to oversee A&P spend governance for India and Global business from Mumbai. You’ll partner with brand, media, and legal teams to ensure accurate booking, accruals, and P&L visibility.

The role requires 0–2 years in FMCG or brand finance, CA with first attempt preferred, and strong Excel/analytical skills to drive spend efficiency and cross-geography collaboration.

Qualifications

• CA with up to 2 years’ experience in FMCG or brand finance.
• Exposure to agency contract management or A&P governance is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel/financial modeling.
• Ability to read and interpret commercial and contract terms.
• Effective communication with cross-functional and cross-geography teams.

• MSA & Agency Governance and tracking across India and Global business.
• Monitor fee structures, rebates, and payment terms against contracts.
• Maintain agency compliance trackers and support audits.
• Track A&P spend and file variance analyses for leadership.
• Support monthly/quarterly closing for media and marketing cost centers.
• Oversee media accounting and vendor reconciliations.
• Drive process improvements and update SOPs.

Role Purpose

Support media finance operations across India and the Global business, partnering with brand, media, and legal teams to govern Advertising & Promotion (A&P) spend, agency contracts, and brand P&L. The role maintains commercial discipline across agency-of-record relationships and drives brand-level P&L visibility.

Key Responsibilities

• MSA & Agency Governance
• Support governance and tracking of Master Service Agreements (MSAs) with media and creative agencies of record across India and Global business
• Monitor fee structures, rebate mechanisms (including minimum guarantee/malus clauses), and payment terms against contractual commitments
• Maintain agency compliance trackers, flag deviations, and support periodic audits
• A&P Spend Management
• Track and analyze A&P spend across brands, campaigns, and geographies against approved budgets
• Partner with brand teams to ensure spend is accurately booked, accrued, and reconciled
• Drive efficiency in media planning and spend optimization
• Prepare periodic spend MIS and variance analysis for leadership review
• P&L Support
• Support monthly/quarterly closing activities related to media and marketing cost centers
• Oversee media accounting and vendor reconciliations
• Own existing SOPs and drive continuous process improvement
• Global Business Coordination
• Extend media finance governance frameworks to the Global business with cross-geography stakeholders
• Support consolidation and reporting of media finance metrics across India and international markets
• Reporting & Stakeholder Management
• Prepare dashboards, trackers, and presentations for internal and cross-functional stakeholders
• Liaise with legal and agency counterparts on contractual and commercial matters

Key Skills & Competencies

• Strong analytical and Excel/financial modeling skills
• Understanding of media agency commercial models (fee structures, rebates, malus/bonus clauses) is a plus
• Ability to read and interpret commercial/legal contract terms
• Comfort working with cross-functional and cross-geography stakeholders
• High attention to detail and ownership mindset
• Strong written and verbal communication

Qualifications & Experience

• CA + 1st attempt preferred
• 0-2 years of relevant experience, preferably in FMCG or a brand finance role
• Prior exposure to agency contract management or A&P governance is an advantage
