Position Overview
As the Assistant Manager (GovernmentPartnerships) for Gujarat, you will support the implementation and coordinationof vocational education initiatives in the state. This role will involveworking closely with government departments, project teams, and ecosystempartners to ensure effective execution, monitoring, and strengthening ofvocational education programs under Samagra Shiksha and related initiatives.
You will play a key role in programcoordination, stakeholder engagement, reporting, and follow-through on statepriorities, while supporting senior leadership in building strong governmentrelationships and advancing LAHI's goals in skill education.
This role is ideal for someone withstrong project management and stakeholder engagement skills, an understandingof education or skilling programs, and the ability to work effectively withingovernment systems. Key Responsibilities:
1. Program Coordination &Implementation
- Support the implementation of LAHI's vocationaleducation projects and initiatives in Gujarat, including on-ground coordinationrelated to the National Education Policy 2020 and National Curriculum Framework2023 for Vocational Education.
- Assist in executing state-level plans underSamagra Shiksha and other related programs.
- Coordinate with internal teams and field staff toensure timely and effective program delivery.
- Track progress against workplans and supportproblem-solving during implementation.
- Support engagement with state educationdepartments and other government stakeholders for smooth implementation ofvocational education initiatives.
- Assist inpreparing for and participating in review meetings, consultations, andcoordination forums with government departments.
- Maintainregular follow-up with key officials and stakeholders on program activities,deliverables, and reporting requirements.
- Supportdocumentation and communication for submissions, updates, and review processes.
3. Pa rtnership & EcosystemEngagement
- Assist in building andmaintaining partnerships with key stakeholders such as NSDC, Sector SkillCouncils, Vocational Training Providers (VTPs), SCERT, State Education Boards,PSSCIVE, NCVET, and other relevant institutions.
- Coordinate with industry and ecosystem partners to support internships,exposure opportunities, and stronger school-to-work linkages.
- Help organize stakeholder meetings, workshops, consultations, andcapacity-building sessions.
4. Monitoring, Reporting & Data Management
- Support the development andimplementation of monitoring processes to track program progress and outcomes.
- Compile, review, and analyseprogram data to support reporting and decision-making.
- Work with teams to strengthen MISusage, documentation practices, and timely reporting.
- Assist in preparing presentations,dashboards, review notes, and progress reports for internal and externalstakeholders.
5. Team Coordination & CapacityBuilding
- Support coordination with PMUmembers, project coordinators, instructors, and field teams to drive qualityexecution.
- Assist senior team members inmentoring and enabling team performance.
- Contribute to knowledge-sharing,training, and adoption of best practices across teams
6. Administrative & OperationalSupport
- Support budget tracking, resourceplanning, and coordination with internal functions for effectiveimplementation.
- Assist in drafting official notes,proposals, presentations, and other program documents.
- Ensure timely follow-up on actionitems, approvals, and coordination requirements across stakeholders.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Social Work,Public Policy, Management, Education, Development Studies, or a related fied.
- Excellent written and verbalcommunication in English; fluency in Gujarati is mandatory and workingknowledge of Hindi is required.
- 4-6 years of relevant experiencein one or more of the following areas:

- Strong understanding of governmentschemes and policy frameworks related to education, skilling, or vocationaleducation will be preferred.

- Willingness to travel within andoutside the state as required.
- Strong relationship-buildingskills with government and ecosystem stakeholders
- Good coordination andfollow-through ability across multiple workstreams
- Strong written communication,presentation, and documentation skills
- Analytical mindset with comfort inreviewing data and generating insights
- Ability to manage competingpriorities with attention to detail
- Proficiency in MS Office,especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
