Job summary

Wonderchef is seeking an Assistant Manager - General Trade in Finance & Accounts to oversee end-to-end order processing, billing, invoicing, and receivables across multiple warehouses and channels.

You will coordinate with Sales, Supply Chain, and Finance teams to ensure accurate stock transfers, payment reconciliation, and timely MIS reporting, with a strong focus on control and process improvements in a fast-paced FMCG environment.

Qualifications

• B.Com or equivalent; CA Inter / CMA Inter or MBA Finance preferred.
• 4-7 years in General Trade accounting or sales operations.
• Experience in FMCG/Retail distribution preferred.
• Strong ERP and Excel skills required.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end Sales Order Processing and Billing for General Trade customers.
• Coordinate customer orders from multiple warehouses and locations.
• Verify orders for product availability, pricing, terms, and customer requirements.
• Generate and post bulk invoices across locations and channels.
• Collaborate with Sales, Warehouse, Logistics, and Supply Chain to fulfil orders.
• Handle queries on dispatch, invoices, payments, and accounts.
• Reconcile customer accounts and monitor receivables.
• Prepare and account for General Trade schemes, discounts, incentives, and promos.
• Prepare MIS reports on sales, collections, stock transfers, and outstanding balances.
• Ensure compliance with policies and statutory requirements.

Assistant Manager - General Trade (GT)

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end Sales Order Processing and Billing for General Trade customers.
• Process, monitor, and coordinate customer orders received from multiple warehouses and distribution locations.
• Verify and validate sales orders with respect to:
  • Product availability
  • Pricing accuracy
  • Commercial terms and schemes
  • Customer-specific requirements
• Generate, review, and validate invoices and ensure timely bulk invoice posting across all locations and sales channels.
• Coordinate with Sales, Warehouse, Logistics, and Supply Chain teams to ensure seamless order fulfillment and dispatch.
• Handle customer queries and resolve issues relating to:
  • Dispatch and delivery status
  • Re-dispatch requests
  • Invoice discrepancies
  • Payment and account-related concerns
• Manage inter-location stock transfers and ensure accurate accounting and inventory records.
• Reconcile customer accounts and adjust customer receipts against outstanding invoices and credit notes.
• Monitor accounts receivable and support timely collection and reconciliation activities.
• Prepare, implement, and account for General Trade schemes, discounts, incentives, and promotional programs.
• Ensure accurate accounting treatment and reconciliation of trade discounts, scheme payouts, rebates, and sales incentives.
• Prepare and maintain MIS reports related to sales, collections, stock transfers, customer outstanding balances, and trade schemes.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders including Sales, Supply Chain, Warehouse, Commercial, and Finance teams.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, internal controls, and statutory requirements.

Required Skills

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and Order-to-Cash (O2C) processes.
• Experience in sales accounting, invoicing, customer reconciliation, and receivables management.
• Knowledge of inventory accounting and stock transfer processes.
• Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or equivalent.
• Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reconciliation skills.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and coordination abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced FMCG/Distribution environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Commerce (B.Com), Accounting, or Finance.
• CA Inter / CMA Inter / MBA (Finance) preferred.
• 4-7 years of relevant experience in General Trade accounting, sales operations, order processing, or commercial finance.
• Prior experience in FMCG, Consumer Goods, Retail, or Distribution industries is preferred.
