Job summary

EXL is seeking an experienced Assistant Manager Controllership (Global Fixed Asset Accounting) to manage end-to-end fixed asset activities across geographies, ensuring accurate sub-ledger, capitalization, disposals, and monthly closes.

The role requires strong accounting principles, SOX compliance, knowledge of Indian taxation regulations, and familiarity with Oracle Fusion ERP. Collaboration with global stakeholders and preparation of MIS reports for senior management.

Qualifications

• Semi-Qualified CA/CMA or MBA with finance focus.
• Strong knowledge of fixed asset accounting and close processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end fixed asset accounting across geographies.
• Ensure completeness and accuracy of fixed assets sub-ledger including capitalization and disposals.
• Oversee monthly close activities: journal entries, reconciliations, adjustments.
• Drive physical verification of fixed assets and maintain asset register integrity.
• Ensure schedules comply with applicable accounting standards and reporting frameworks.
• Prepare MIS reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior management.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented professional for the role of Assistant Manager Controllership (Global Fixed Asset Accounting).

The ideal candidate should possess strong domain expertise in global fixed asset accounting processes within an F&A shared services environment or a captive unit of a reputed multinational organization.

Key Responsibilities

1. Manage end-to-end fixed asset accounting activities across multiple geographies, with a strong understanding of core accounting principles.
2. Ensure the completeness and accuracy of the fixed assets sub-ledger, including timely capitalization, disposals/retirements, and monthly close activities such as journal entries, reconciliations, and adjustments.
3. Oversee the accurate tracking of fixed assets and drive periodic physical verification exercises to maintain the integrity of the fixed asset register.
4. Ensure all fixed asset schedules comply with applicable accounting standards and reporting frameworks.
5. Execute monthly close activities, including accrual postings, depreciation/amortization runs, and related reconciliations.
6. Communicate effectively and collaborate with cross-functional teams and global stakeholders.
7. Prepare qualitative and quantitative analyses of monthly, quarterly, and annual P&L and balance sheet movements.
8. Develop insightful MIS reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior management review.
9. Ensure adherence to SOX controls, internal audit requirements, and statutory audit compliance.
10. Possess a sound understanding of Indian taxation regulations and related compliance requirements.
11. Demonstrate strong functional knowledge of Oracle Fusion ERP (preferred).
