Job summary

Amrit Cement is seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer specializing in electrical and instrumentation to oversee preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance across the cement plant. You will manage HT/LT motors, transformers, switchgear, MCCs, PCCs, VFDs, and distribution systems, and troubleshoot PLC, DCS, SCADA, sensors, and field instruments.

You will plan maintenance schedules, coordinate shutdown activities, supervise engineers and technicians, ensure safety procedures

Responsibilities

• Ensure preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of electrical equipment and instrumentation across the cement plant.
• Maintain HT/LT motors, transformers, switchgears, MCCs, PCCs, VFDs, and electrical distribution systems.
• Monitor and troubleshoot PLC, DCS, SCADA, field instruments, sensors, transmitters, and control systems.
• Minimize equipment breakdowns and plant downtime through root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Plan maintenance schedules, shutdown activities, equipment inspections, and calibration of instruments.
• Supervise engineers, technicians, and contract manpower to ensure timely and efficient maintenance.
• Coordinate with Process, Production, Mechanical, and CPP departments for smooth plant operations.
• Ensure compliance with electrical safety procedures, LOTO, PTW, and applicable statutory requirements.
• Monitor maintenance costs, critical spares, equipment reliability, and energy efficiency.
• Maintain maintenance records and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance plant performance.
