Job summary

Peoplefy Infosolutions in Mangaluru, Karnataka, seeks a senior professional with 10-15 years of fabrication costing experience to lead cost estimation, budgeting, and commercial modelling for modular and large-scale projects.

Candidate should have strong EPC process knowledge, shop-floor exposure, and expertise in cost compilation. Proficiency in MS Excel and estimation tools is essential; 6 days/week, 10 AM–6 PM, on-site work in Mangaluru.

Qualifications

• 10-15 years of experience in fabrication costing and cost compilation.
• Strong knowledge of EPC processes, modular systems, and fabrication standards.
• Budgeting, commercial modelling, and understanding of contract terms including Incoterms.
• Ground-level shop-floor exposure to fabrication processes and costs.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and estimation tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead fabrication costing and cost estimation for projects.
• Prepare budgets and commercial modelling to support bids and execution.
• Interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, and material standards.
• Manage vendors and negotiate terms to optimize cost and schedule.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, timelines, and safety standards.
• Leverage AI tools to enhance productivity where applicable.

• Educational Qualification: BE Mechanical +MBA Preferred Diploma holders can be considered.
• 10 AM - 6PM Shift timing

ROLE DESCRIPTION

• Strong knowledge of EPC processes, modular systems, and fabrication standards.
• Expertise in cost estimation, budgeting, and commercial modelling.
• Ability to understand engineering drawings, P&IDs, and material standards.
• Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) and estimation tools.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and presentation skills.
• Understanding of contract terms, Incoterms, taxes, and duties.
• Vendor management and negotiation capabilities.
• Ability to handle high workload and tight deadlines9. Added advantage- knowledge of use of AI tools for efficient & productive work

Primary Skills

• Fabrication costing exposure is mandatory for the role Structural fabrication experience is preferred if not much of piping background
• Candidates must have strong experience in cost estimation and cost compilation.
• Candidates should have ground-level / shop-floor exposure to understand actual fabrication processes and associated costs.
• Experience should include estimating costs based on project-specific specifications and requirements.
• EPC experience is not mandatory.
• Candidates with experience in large plants, modular plants, or large-scale engineering projects can be considered.
• Candidates with strong piping fabrication experience can also be considered.
