Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Operations, Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
• 10–12 years of experience in Operations, Warehouse Management, Logistics, Supply Chain, Retail, FMCG, or Quick Commerce.
• Experience managing multiple warehouses, dark stores, or city-level operations with large frontline teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.

Role Overview

We are looking for a highly execution-oriented and analytical City Operations Manager to oversee end-to-end operational performance across all dark stores within an assigned city. This role will be responsible for warehouse operations, inventory management, last-mile delivery, process compliance, team performance, and operational KPIs. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in quick commerce, FMCG, retail, logistics, warehousing, or supply chain operations, with the ability to manage multiple dark stores, optimize operational processes, and lead cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

City Operations Management

• Lead end-to-end operations across all dark stores within the assigned city.
• Ensure seamless execution of warehouse, inventory, and last-mile operations.
• Drive operational excellence through standardized processes and SOP compliance.
• Monitor daily operational performance and ensure smooth business continuity.
• Resolve operational bottlenecks and drive continuous process improvements.
• Ensure all stores consistently achieve operational and customer service standards.

Warehouse & Inventory Operations

• Monitor inventory availability, stock accuracy, and replenishment across all dark stores.
• Ensure timely inward, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch operations.
• Drive inventory accuracy through regular audits and stock reconciliation.
• Minimize stock-outs, inventory ageing, damages, and operational losses.

Last Mile Operations

• Ensure timely order dispatch and delivery SLA adherence across the city.
• Monitor rider productivity, order allocation, and delivery performance.
• Improve last-mile efficiency by reducing delivery delays and optimizing operational workflows.
• Resolve customer delivery escalations and operational issues promptly.
• Coordinate with Last Mile teams to improve overall customer experience.

Team Leadership & Performance Management

• Lead and mentor Store Managers, Shift Incharges, and city operations teams.
• Drive performance management through regular reviews, coaching, and feedback.
• Build a culture of accountability, ownership, and operational excellence.
• Ensure adequate manpower planning across all operational functions.
• Support hiring, onboarding, and capability development of operations teams.

Operational Analytics & Process Improvement

• Monitor operational dashboards and key business metrics across the city.
• Analyze productivity, fulfilment, inventory, and delivery performance.
• Identify operational gaps and implement improvement initiatives.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational MIS reports.
• Drive automation and process optimization initiatives to improve operational efficiency.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with Procurement, Category, Supply Chain, Finance, HR, Central Operations, and Technology teams.
• Support new dark store launches and operational readiness.
• Ensure seamless coordination between warehouse, inventory, and last-mile functions.
• Drive timely resolution of cross-functional operational issues.
• Maintain strong communication across all business stakeholders.
