Job summary

BookMyShow, India's leading entertainment platform, invites a Finance professional to own budgeting, forecasts and P&L processes for live events and performances. You will prepare AOP, track variances, and coordinate monthly financials with stakeholders, driving accurate MIS reporting and cash flow planning.

The role demands deep financial analytics, ERP proficiency, and a strategic outlook for long-range plans in a vibrant entertainment ecosystem.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6–8 years of experience in Business Finance or a related role.
• Strong experience in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Sound understanding of accounting principles and financial statement analysis.
• Excellent quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with a detail-oriented and process-driven approach.
• Experience in strategic analysis, business planning, and preparing presentations for long-range financial plans.
• Knowledge of or interest in events and entertainment industry.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Office, and ERP systems; working knowledge of Tally and SAP is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain the Annual Operating Plan (AOP), tracking progress against planned targets.
• Prepare tentative P&L statements for new events.
• Share monthly event-wise provisions with the Finance team to support P&L closing activities.
• Prepare MIS reports and track event-wise P&L performance, highlighting progress and variances.
• Verify budgeted cost sheets against actual vendor invoices recorded in the ERP system and track any pending recoveries or outstanding dues.
• Prepare budgets, forecasts, cash flow statements, and business unit presentations while supporting monthly financial closing activities.
• Generate variance analysis reports by comparing budgeted costs with actual expenditure.
• Support financial integration activities related to budgeting and financial planning.
• Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to ensure the timely preparation and submission of monthly financials.
