Job summary

Rusk Media, Mumbai, seeks a Chartered Accountant with 5–7 years post-qualification in Business Finance/FP&A to join its finance team. You will lead planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance reviews, partnering with Sales, Product, and Operations to improve profitability and investments.

You will build robust financial models, analyze unit economics, pricing, and investments, and drive cost optimization while ensuring governance and controls in a fast-paced, high-growth media environment.

Qualifications

• CA mandatory
• MBA Finance will be an added advantage
• 5–7 years of post-qualification experience in Business Finance, FP&A, Commercial Finance, or Strategic Finance
• Strong experience in B2B finance, preferably in high-growth startups or technology-led businesses
• Proven expertise in financial planning & analysis, budgeting, forecasting, business partnering, and commercial finance
• Strong financial modelling, profitability analysis, unit economics, pricing, and investment evaluation
• Excellent stakeholder management with the ability to influence senior leaders through data-driven insight
• High ownership mindset in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Responsibilities

• Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and business reviews across key functions
• Partner with business leaders to improve profitability, optimize investments, and drive sustainable growth
• Own financial performance reporting, variance analysis, dashboards, and executive presentations with actionable recommendations
• Build robust financial models to evaluate new business initiatives, pricing strategies, investments, and commercial opportunities
• Drive cost optimization initiatives while maintaining strong governance and controls
• Lead ROI analysis, scenario planning, and support strategic decision-making through financial insights
• Partner with cross-functional teams including Sales, Product, Operations, HR, and Leadership to align financial objectives with business priorities
• Identify opportunities for automation and process improvements to strengthen reporting, forecasting, and financial planning
• Act as the strategic finance partner to business leadership, driving commercial and operational decision-making through data-backed financial insights
