The role demands strong capabilities in financial management, taxation, compliance, and team leadership. The ideal candidate will oversee cash flow, working capital, vendor payments, MIS reporting, and audits, while ensuring timely financial closings and robust controls across all accounts.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in Accounts & Finance.
• CA / MBA Finance / CMA preferred.
• Strong experience in finance, taxation, GST, TDS, audits, and statutory compliance.
• Experience in vendor management, cash flow, working capital and MIS.
• Experience leading an Accounts & Finance team.

Responsibilities

• Lead the complete Accounts & Finance function of the organisation.
• Manage day-to-day accounting operations, books of accounts, general ledgers and reconciliations.
• Ensure timely monthly, quarterly and annual financial closing.
• Review accounting entries, ledgers, provisions, accruals and outstanding balances.
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial records.
• Oversee vendor payment and payable management.
• Manage GST, TDS and taxation-related compliance.
• Coordinate with auditors, consultants and regulatory authorities.
• Prepare MIS & financial reports for senior management.

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Head Accounts & Finance to lead and manage the complete finance and accounting function of the organisation.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in financial management, accounting operations, cash flow, working capital, taxation, statutory compliance, vendor management, MIS, audits and team leadership. Candidates with prior experience in the Event Management, Exhibition, Experiential, Production or Project-based industry will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Finance & Accounts

• Lead the complete Accounts & Finance function of the organisation.
• Manage day-to-day accounting operations, books of accounts, general ledgers and reconciliations.
• Ensure timely monthly, quarterly and annual financial closing.
• Review accounting entries, ledgers, provisions, accruals and outstanding balances.
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial records.

Cash Flow & Working Capital

• Plan and monitor daily, weekly and monthly cash flow.
• Manage working capital and fund utilisation.
• Monitor receivables, collections, payables and outstanding payments.
• Prepare cash flow forecasts and ensure availability of funds for business/project requirements.
• Identify cash flow gaps and recommend corrective actions.

Vendor Management & Payments

• Oversee complete vendor payment and payable management.
• Review vendor invoices, bills, approvals and supporting documents.
• Monitor vendor outstanding, ageing and reconciliations.
• Establish payment priorities based on project requirements and cash flow.
• Coordinate with Procurement, Production and Project teams for vendor payments.
• Ensure proper financial controls over vendor transactions.

GST, TDS & Taxation

• Manage complete GST, TDS and taxation-related compliance.
• Ensure timely filing of GST and TDS returns and payments.
• Review GST reconciliations and input tax credit.
• Ensure correct TDS deductions, certificates and returns.
• Coordinate with tax consultants and external professionals wherever required.

Statutory Compliance & Audit

• Ensure complete and timely statutory and financial compliances.
• Handle Statutory Audit, Tax Audit, Internal Audit and other financial audits.
• Coordinate with auditors, consultants and regulatory authorities.
• Maintain proper financial documentation and compliance records.
• Identify financial and compliance risks and implement appropriate controls.

MIS & Management Reporting

• Prepare and present regular MIS and financial reports to senior management.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to management.

Project Finance & Cost Control

• Monitor project-wise revenue, expenses, costing and profitability.
• Work closely with Project, Production, Procurement and Client Servicing teams.
• Review project budgets and financial commitments.
• Identify cost leakages and improve cost-control measures.
• Ensure financial discipline across projects.

Team Management

• Lead and manage the Accounts & Finance team.
• Allocate responsibilities and monitor team performance.
• Review the team's work and ensure timely completion of accounting and compliance activities.
• Train and mentor team members.
• Build strong financial processes and accountability within the department.

Candidate Profile

• 12+ years of experience in Accounts & Finance.
• CA / MBA Finance / CMA preferred.
• Strong experience in Finance & Accounts, Taxation, GST, TDS, Audit and Statutory Compliance.
• Strong knowledge of cash flow and working capital management.
• Experience in vendor management, payable management and payment controls.
• Strong experience in MIS, financial reporting and general ledger management.
• Proven experience in managing and leading an Accounts & Finance team.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Excellent command of MS Excel and accounting/ERP systems.

Candidates from the following industries will be preferred:
