Job summary

Mahindra and Mahindra Limited [Automotive and Farm Equipment Business] seeks a Design Engineer for BIW engineering in Bengaluru to drive sheet metal and CATIA V5 packaging concepts. You will perform surface and assembly modelling, DMU analyses, and contribute to DFMEA/DFM reviews, coordinating with CFT for weight distribution and integration challenges.

4+ years' BIW design experience is desirable. Exposure to PLM workflows and supplier interactions is a plus.

Qualifications

• Hands on experience in Design BIW Assembly.
• Experience in BIW Sheet metal parts.
• Good CAD proficiency with CATIA V5.
• Knowledge of GD&T.
• Experience with PLM software.

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

Key Work areas :

• a. Design activities in CAD in CATIA V5
• b. Surface modelling and assembly modelling
• c. DFMEA
• d. DFA/ DFM, Risk analysis and Product quality design reviews
• e. Validation tracking, DVPR signed off - Comp / System/Vehicle level
• f. Preparation of vehicle and system level packaging concepts, layouts by coordinating with CFT to meet the performance, weight distribution.
• g. DMU analysis, report generation and coordination between different subsystem owners to resolve packaging and integration challenges

Experience :

• Hands on experience in Design engineer BIW Assembly

• Experience in BIW Sheet metal parts
• Good CAD proficiency on CATIA V5

Experience

1. Having good knowledge towards sheet metal design concepts and manufacturing methodologies

5. Experience in PLM Software.
6. Experience in Sheet metal Product Development assignments.
7. Good GD&T application knowledge.

Qualifications

BE or ME with mechanical/Automobile/Electrical with 4+ years of experience in BIW Engineering
