Job summary

Freyr Energy in Hyderabad, a leading residential rooftop solar company, is hiring a Finance & Accounts professional to manage monthly and annual closures, prepare journal entries, provisions, and reconciliations, and deliver clear financial insights.

You will ensure GST, TDS, and income tax compliance, maintain audit-ready records, support lenders with MIS and financial reports, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to strengthen controls and drive scalable processes.

Qualifications

• Chartered Accountant (Inter) or CMA or MBA (Finance) preferred.
• B.Com/M.Com with relevant Finance & Accounts experience may be considered.
• 5 to 8 years of experience in Finance & Accounts with close, compliance, and reporting exposure.
• Working knowledge of GST, TDS, Income Tax, Companies Act, and other statutory regulations.
• Strong analytical, reconciliation, and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct timely monthly and annual financial closures, including journal entries, provisions, and reconciliations.
• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and MIS for management review.
• Ensure accurate and timely filing of GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other regulatory returns.
• Maintain up-to-date compliance records and monitor regulatory changes.
• Prepare and submit financial reports, stock statements, and debtor statements to banks and financial institutions.
• Develop periodic MIS and performance reports for lenders and investors.
• Coordinate with internal and statutory auditors by preparing schedules, reconciliations, and documentation.
• Address audit observations and strengthen internal financial controls.
• Identify process improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and guide junior finance staff; support budgeting and planning.

Job Description

• Conduct timely monthly and annual financial closures, including preparation of journal entries, provisions, and reconciliations.
  
• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and MIS reports for management review.
  
• Ensure accurate and timely filing of statutory returns related to GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other regulatory requirements.
  
• Maintain up-to-date compliance records and monitor regulatory changes to ensure adherence to applicable laws.
  
• Prepare and submit financial reports, stock statements, and debtor statements to banks and financial institutions.
  
• Develop periodic MIS and performance reports for lenders and investors, supporting funding and investment initiatives.
  
• Coordinate with internal and statutory auditors by preparing audit schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
  
• Address audit observations and queries promptly to ensure smooth audit outcomes.
  
• Strengthen internal financial controls and ensure alignment with company policies and accounting procedures.
  
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.
  
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide guidance to junior finance staff on accounting and reporting tasks.
  
• Support management in budgeting, financial planning, and other strategic finance initiatives.
  

Requirements

• Chartered Accountant (Inter), CMA, or MBA (Finance) preferred.
• B.Com/M.Com with relevant Finance & Accounts experience may also be considered.
• 5 to 8 years of experience in Finance & Accounts, with exposure to financial closure, statutory compliance, audit coordination, and lender reporting.
• Working knowledge of Tally ERP, Zoho, or similar accounting software.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Good understanding of GST, TDS, Income Tax, Companies Act, and other statutory regulations.
• Excellent analytical, reconciliation, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication, coordination, and leadership abilities.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy and compliance.
