Job summary

Freyr Energy Pvt Ltd is seeking a proactive SCM and Procurement professional in Hyderabad to manage market mapping, vendor onboarding, negotiations, and PO lifecycle for solar projects. You will coordinate logistics, optimize stock, forecast demand, and supervise junior staff to ensure timely project execution.

The role requires 2–3 years in a similar role, proficiency in MS Office, and familiarity with Zoho platform; solar experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
• 2–3 years of experience in a similar role; solar experience preferred.
• Strong oral and written communication and negotiation skills.
• Knowledge of Zoho platform preferred.
• Good knowledge of accounts and budgeting.
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel/Word).

Responsibilities

• Market Mapping: map vendors by city/state for solar PV components and SKUs.
• Evaluation & Onboarding: vet vendors on quality, capability, delivery, and credit terms.
• Negotiation: lead terms and payment cycle negotiations to protect margins.
• Digital Management: update SKU pricing and vendor data on Freyr Energy platform.
• PO Lifecycle: manage end-to-end PO process and payment reconciliation.
• Dispatch Planning: coordinate on-time movement of materials for project starts.
• Partner Development: source onboard and manage logistics partners.
• Issue Resolution: identify and escalate supply chain bottlenecks.
• Stock Optimization: maintain safety stock across regional warehouses.
• Demand Forecasting: align procurement with sales forecasts.
• Warehouse Oversight: oversee kitting, packing and distribution.
• Financial Control: manage project budgeting and SCM reports.
• Team Development: supervise junior staff and training.

Job Description

• Market Mapping: Execute city and state-wise mapping of vendors for all Solar PV components and SKUs to ensure localized support and cost efficiency.
  
• Evaluation & Onboarding: Scrutinize and vet vendors based on stringent criteria including quality standards, technical capability, delivery timelines, and credit terms.
  
• Negotiation: Lead negotiations for contractual terms and payment cycles to optimize project margins.
  
• Digital Management: Responsible for the real-time update of SKU pricing and vendor data on the Freyr Energy in-house platform.
  
• PO Lifecycle: Manage the complete procurement cycle, from raising Purchase Orders (POs) to final payment reconciliation.
  

2. Logistics & Project Dispatch

• Dispatch Planning: Coordinate the seamless movement of materials to ensure 100% on-time project starts.
  
• Partner Development: Source, onboard, and manage logistics partners capable of handling sensitive solar equipment.
  
• Issue Resolution: Proactively identify and escalate critical supply chain bottlenecks to minimize project delays.
  

3. Inventory & Warehouse Operations

• Stock Optimization: Monitor and maintain safety stock levels across all regional warehouses to prevent project downtime.
  
• Demand Forecasting: Align procurement orders with sales forecasts to ensure material availability.
  
• Warehouse Oversight: Oversee the kitting, packing, and distribution of materials from individual warehouses to specific site locations.
  
• Financial Control: Manage project-wise budgeting and provide detailed SCM reports against actual spends.
  
• Team Development: Supervise junior staff, providing the necessary training and support to achieve operational excellence.
