Role & responsibilities

• Responsible for procurement of consumables, MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Operations) items, tools, and general engineering materials.
• Identify, evaluate, and develop new vendors and suppliers for better cost efficiency and quality assurance.
• Ensure timely availability of required consumables and MRO materials to avoid production downtime.
• Float inquiries, prepare comparative statements, and finalize orders based on price, quality, and delivery.
• Coordinate with user departments, stores, and accounts for material requirement, receipt, and payment follow-up.
• Negotiate with suppliers for cost reduction, credit terms, and delivery schedules.
• Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, quotations, and supplier data in ERP system.
• Conduct market analysis for price trends and alternate sourcing options.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and audit requirements.
• Support inventory control and participate in periodic stock verification.
