Job summary

Bharat Rasayan in New Delhi, India, is seeking an experienced engineering purchaser to manage procurement for Agrochemical/Chemical projects. You will source, evaluate vendors, negotiate terms, and oversee SAP-MM driven purchase orders.

Candidate should have 8+ years in engineering purchasing, strong vendor relationship skills, and ability to coordinate with finance for timely payments and post-order expediting.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in engineering purchasing within agrochemical, chemical, or process industries.
• Send enquiries and RFQs to vendors based on PRs approved by factory head and concerned office dept.
• Follow up with vendors for timely quotation submissions.
• Strong exposure to procurement of process equipment and plant spares (e.g., ANFD, reactors, GLR, heat exchangers, condensers, pumps, valves).
• Negotiate commercial and technical terms with vendors.
• Prepare commercial bid analysis (Quotation Comparative) in SAP.
• Prepare orders approval notes and seek management approvals for PO placements.
• Placing LOAs and POs using SAP-MM.
• Post-order expediting for timely deliveries.
• Coordinate with Finance for timely payments; new vendor development.

Responsibilities

• 8+ years of experience in engineering purchase in agro/chemical/process industry.
• Procure materials and equipment including ANFD, reactors, GLR, heat exchangers, pumps and valves.
• Negotiate terms with vendors and finalize commercial and technical conditions.
• Prepare and analyze commercial bid comparisons in SAP and raise purchase orders.
• Expedite post-order to ensure timely deliveries and coordinate with finance for payments.

Job description

Role & responsibilities

1. 8+ years of experience in engineering purchase, preferably in the Agrochemical, Chemical, or Process Industry.

2. Sending Enquiries/Request for Quotations (RFQ's) to vendors for purchasing of Materials based on PRs (purchase requisitions) (which approved by factory head & in office concern dept.

3. Follow-up with vendors for timely submission of quotations

4. Sourcing of Materials - Strong exposure to procurement of: ANFD (Agitated Nutsche Filter Dryer), Reactors (SS/MS/GLR), Glass Lined Reactors (GLR), Graphite Heat Exchangers, Condensers, Blowers, Scrubbers, Pumps, Valves, and Process Equipment

5. Negotiation Meetings and Settlement of commercial and Technical terms and Condition with Vendors

6. preparation of Commercial Bid Analysis(Quotation Comparative) in SAP System

7. preparation of Orders Approval Note

8. Seeking approvals from Management. for placing of Purchase orders

9. Placing Letter of Award(LOA’s) & Purchase Orders(PO’s) using SAP-MM (Materials Management) Module.

10. Post order expediting for timely deliveries

• Co-ordination with Finance Department for timely payments
• New Vendors development

11. Purchasing for Projects & Plant & head office / R&D center (Consumables Items, I T Hardware for (plant/ho) factory machinery Spares & Maintenance Items, OEM’s Items, Electricals and Lab equipment’s boiler maintenance & water chemicals etc.)
