Job summary

ITC is seeking an Assistant Manager - Maintenance to oversee electrical power distribution and utility operations at our plant in Punjab. You will manage 66 kV/33 kV power systems, transformers, switchgear, and boilers to guarantee reliable, safe operations and strict regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate holds a B.Tech/B.E. in Electrical with energy management certification preferred, and demonstrates strong leadership, stakeholder management, and experience coordinating with electricity

Qualifications

• Sound understanding of electrical power distribution and electrical safety systems.
• Experience in leading operations and maintenance of 66 kV and/or 33 kV power systems, transformers, switchgear and circuit breakers.
• Experience coordinating with state electricity authorities and regulatory bodies for power matters.
• Hands-on experience in operation and maintenance of solid-fuel and oil-fired boilers.
• Experience managing third-party O&M contracts and supervising large outsourced teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the O&M of 66 kV and/or 33 kV power systems, transformers, switchgear, and circuit breakers.
• Coordinate with state electricity authorities and regulatory bodies.
• Oversee operation and maintenance of boilers (solid-fuel and oil-fired).
• Manage O&M contracts and supervise 50+ outsourced personnel.
• Ensure safe, reliable utility operations and regulatory compliance.
• Troubleshoot and plan preventive maintenance; manage contractors.
• Lead utility teams in an industrial environment.
• Knowledge of solar PV systems is a plus.

Assistant Manager - Maintenance

B-Tech /BE in Electrical, regular

Certification in Energy Management will be an added advantage

Key Requirements:

• Sound understanding of electrical power distribution electrical safety systems and fire safety practices.
• Proven experience in leading the operations and maintenance of 66 kV and/or 33 kV incoming power systems, including associated transformers, switchgear, and circuit breakers.
• Experience in coordinating and liaising with state electricity authorities and regulatory bodies for power-related matters.
• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in the operation and maintenance of solid-fuel-fired boilers and oil-fired boilers.
• Moderate experience in managing third-party Operations & Maintenance (O&M) contracts, including supervision and coordination of outsourced teams with a workforce strength of more than 50 personnel.
• Ability to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient utility operations while maintaining compliance with statutory and safety requirements.
• Experience in troubleshooting, preventive maintenance planning, contractor management, and leading utility teams in an industrial environment.
• Experience in solar power generation systems, including operation and maintenance of photovoltaic (PV) plants, will be an added advantage.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred candidate profile

Looking for an ideal candidate with an experience in electrical safety practices, exp in boilers.

Experience with high tension lines, liaising with state electricity authorities and plant maintenance.

Minimum 60% should be there in 10th, 12th & BE/B.Tech (Electrical)
