The ideal candidate has 12-15+ years in multimodal logistics, engineering or commerce background, MBA preferred, and hands-on SAP/ERP experience to drive performance and vendor management.

Qualifications

  • Graduate in Engineering / Logistics / Supply Chain / Commerce. MBA preferred.
  • 12-15+ years of experience in large-scale multimodal logistics operations.
  • Strong expertise in Port Operations, Railway Logistics, Road Transportation, Import & Export Logistics, and Compliance Management.
  • Exposure to SAP/ERP systems will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Lead complete inbound and outbound logistics operations for the plant.
  • Manage Import and Export logistics including shipping, documentation, customs coordination, and cargo movement.
  • Oversee Rail Logistics including rake planning, loading/unloading, wagon utilization, and liaison with Railway authorities.
  • Manage Road Transportation operations, fleet deployment, transporter performance, and dispatch planning.
  • Drive Port Operations including vessel planning, cargo evacuation, stevedoring, and coordination with Port Authorities.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, statutory, customs, railway, transport, and environmental requirements.
  • Develop relationships with Port Authorities, Railways, Customs, Shipping Lines, Government Agencies, and Logistics Service Providers.
  • Drive logistics cost optimization, service improvement, and operational efficiency initiatives.
  • Lead contract management, vendor performance management, and stakeholder engagement.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented logistics professional to lead end-to-end Plant Logistics Operations. The role will be responsible for managing Import, Export, Rail, Road, and Port Logistics while ensuring operational excellence, regulatory compliance, cost optimization, and best-in-class safety performance.

  • Ensure compliance with EHS standards across Port, Rail, Road, Warehousing, and Cargo Handling activities.
  • Lead safety audits, risk assessments, incident investigations, and corrective actions.
  • Drive transporter safety programs, defensive driving initiatives, and contractor safety compliance.
  • Ensure achievement of safety KPIs with a focus on Zero Harm and Zero Major Incidents.
Desired Profile
  • Graduate in Engineering / Logistics / Supply Chain / Commerce. MBA preferred.
  • Minimum 12-15 years of experience in large-scale multimodal logistics operations.
  • Strong expertise in Port Operations, Railway Logistics, Road Transportation, Import & Export Logistics, and Compliance Management.
  • Excellent liaisoning, negotiation, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
  • Exposure to SAP/ERP systems will be an added advantage.
