Neuron Energy Pvt Ltd is seeking a Head Accounts & Taxation to oversee all aspects of financial management across corporate accounting, costing, compliance, audit, and internal controls. Reporting to the CFO, you will lead accounting operations and drive cost efficiencies in a manufacturing environment.

The role requires CA with 5–10 years of experience, strong manufacturing background, and proficiency in ERP and Excel/PowerPoint. Location: Mumbai. Early joiners preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee accounting functions: Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Billing, General Ledger, and Payroll.
• Lead the monthly close and yearly close process to ensure timely financial statements and management accounts.
• Lead financial due diligence and budget-to-actual variance analyses.
• Audit framework development and strengthening internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR).
• Collaborate with plant managers to improve production cost control and margins.

The Head Accounts & Taxation will oversee all aspects of financial management, Corporate accounting, costing, Compliance , Audit and internal control systems. This role is responsible for ensuring the utmost precision in financial data, mitigating corporate risk, and optimizing working capital. This position will be reporting to the CFO.

Key Responsibilities

1. Accounting Operations & Financial Reporting

• Oversee all core accounting functions, including Accounts Payable (A/P), Accounts Receivable (A/R), Billing, General Ledger (GL), and Payroll.
• Lead the monthly close /Yearly close process to ensure accurate, timely preparation of financial statements and management accounts.
• Lead Financial due diligence process
• Oversee Annual Operating Budget activity alongwith budget-to-actual variance analysis on monthly basis

2. Cost Accounting & Manufacturing Operations

• Oversee standard costing, variance analysis (material, labor, and overhead), and inventory valuation.
• Partner with plant managers to evaluate production efficiency, scrap rates, and labour utilization.
• Monitor unit production costs and provide actionable insights to improve plant gross margins.

3. Tax Compliances

• Oversee the timely filing of all direct and indirect corporate tax returns, including Income Tax, GST/VAT, Custom Duties, and Corporate Tax.
• Manage tax assessments, appeals, and litigation cases; draft technical responses for tax authorities.

4. Audits & Risk Management

• Audit Framework: Design and execute the annual risk-based internal audit plan covering plant operations, procurement, inventory, and logistics.
• Cost Controls: Audit manufacturing costs, variance analyses, bill of materials (BOM), and scrap disposal processes to plug revenue leakages.
• Statutory Audits: Act as the primary liaison for external statutory auditors and tax authorities during assessments and audits.
• Internal Controls (ICFR): Strengthen internal controls over financial reporting across corporate offices and manufacturing units.

Leadership & Cross-Functional Alignment

• Lead, mentor, and provide clear technical guidance to junior finance staff and accounting teams.
• Partner seamlessly with multiple department heads to streamline operational workflows and optimize resource allocation.

Required Qualifications

• A CA with experience of 5-10 Year.
• Strong experience in Manufacturing Industry.
• Experience in Treasury & working capital would be added advantage
• Experience in ERP implementation would be added advantage.
• High Proficiency in Excel/PowerPoint .
• Early Joiner would be given more preference.
