Job summary

Blitz is seeking a capable operations leader in Chennai to design a 60–120 minute delivery network and oversee last-mile, micro-fulfillment, and delivery teams. You will guide Team Leaders and Operations Executives to achieve top-tier on-time delivery and high customer satisfaction in a fast-paced quick commerce setting.

You will leverage strong data skills and HR policy knowledge to coach high-performance teams, implement scalable processes, and continuously optimize operations for rapid order

Qualifications

• Graduation degree from an accredited university with 2–4 years of relevant operations/logistics experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication (remote & face-to-face).
• Strong data-driven mindset with ability to dive deep into data.
• Knowledge of HR policies, employment law, and handling people processes.
• Proven coaching and leadership skills with experience building high-performance teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and build a 60–120 minute delivery network including stations and micro-fulfillment.
• Lead and coach Team Leaders and Operations Executives to maximize on-time delivery as the north star.
• Communicate goals, drive execution, and manage fast-paced high-volume quick commerce ops.
• Set up scalable processes and drive continuous improvements for operational excellence.
• Implement roster planning to ensure real-time fulfillment within 60–120 mins.
• Identify and eliminate inefficiencies, ensuring rapid order turnaround and seamless CX.
• Understand and fulfill client requirements related to quick commerce logistics.
• Manage COD cash handling and reconcile with finance; improve payments processes.
• Scale quick commerce delivery while improving efficiency and customer satisfaction.
• Drive adoption of best practices across all operations.

Job description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design & build a 60–120 minute delivery network in the region, including last-mile delivery stations, dark stores/micro-fulfillment centers, and delivery teams.
• Lead & coach Team Leaders and Operations Executives to deliver the highest level of customer satisfaction with On-Time Delivery as the north star metric .
• Use strong business judgment to communicate team goals, drive execution, and manage a fast-paced, high-volume quick commerce operation.
• Achieve operational excellence by setting up scalable processes and driving continuous improvements.
• Implement roster planning schedules & monitoring systems to ensure real-time fulfillment of customer orders within 60–120 mins .
• Identify and eliminate operational inefficiencies, ensuring rapid order turnaround and seamless customer experience.
• Understand & fulfill client requirements related to quick commerce logistics operations .
• Manage cash handling for COD orders and ensure timely reconciliation with the finance team; continuously improve payments-related processes.
• Success will be measured by ability to scale quick commerce delivery while improving operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
• Actively drive adoption of best practices across all operational functions.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Graduation degree (Math, Statistics, Engineering, Science, Business, Logistics) from an accredited university with 2 – 4 years of relevant experience in operations/logistics.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills (remote & face-to-face).
• Strong metric-driven mindset with ability to dive deep into data .
• Knowledge of HR policies, employment law , and handling people processes.
• Proven coaching and leadership skills with experience in building & mentoring high-performance teams.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Strong attention to detail with excellent written and oral communication.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment .
• Decisive, confident, and capable of influencing stakeholders.
• Prior experience in quick commerce, last-mile logistics, or hyperlocal delivery operations is a plus.
