Job summary

Coface in India (Karnataka) seeks a qualified finance professional to join our Finance team on a full-time, hybrid basis after the first month. You will support accounts receivable/payable, monthly closings, journal entries, and reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.

The ideal candidate has a degree in accounting or finance, relevant certifications preferred, 3+ years in finance, and proficiency in Excel.

Qualifications

• University graduate in Accounting or Finance. Recognized accounting qualifications preferred (CPA/ACCA/CMA).
• 3+ years of experience in finance/accounting; Big4/MNC exposure a plus.
• Proficiency in MS Excel is a must.
• Strong mindset on efficiency and data quality.
• Knowledge of AR/AP processes and financial data analysis is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Handle payments/receipts, prepare journal entries and bank payments.
• Monitor reconciliation and act as key finance contact for internal/external parties.
• Resolve differences during reconciliations with business owners.
• Involved in credit control to ensure timely settlement of balances.
• Prepare monthly schedules, ageing reports, reconciliations; support ad hoc tasks.

MISSION :

• Take part in finance operation to ensure all financial processes are efficient, organized and under control
• Participate in monthly and quarterly closing process to deliver accurate and timely financial data for local and group reporting purpose.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Handle payments and/or receipts, prepare related journals entries & bank payments.
• Monitor and act as the key contact point of Finance for reconciliation and settlement of income and expenses with internal and external parties / business owners.
• Work with business owners and/or relevant parties to resolve any differences during reconciliations.
• Actively involve in credit control to ensure outstanding balances with relevant parties are settled in a timely manner.
• Prepare monthly accounting schedules, ageing reports, reconciliations and other reports.Participate in exercises to enhance control and efficiency of financial processes and take part in other ad hoc assignments

• University graduate majoring in Accounting or Finance related disciplines.Recognized accounting qualifications is preferrable (e.g. CPA / ACCA / CMA)
• Min. 3 + yrs working experience in finance/accounting field is a must.Experience gained in Big4 and/or MNC environment is a plus
• Proficiency in MS Excel is a must
• Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Strong mindset on efficiency and data quality
• Strong knowledge on AR / AP process
• Financial data analysis skills is an advantage
• Knowledge in ANY accounting system is an advantage
• Knowledge on LEAN / process improvement is an advantage
