Job summary

Sciente Group in Bengaluru seeks an experienced accounting professional to support multi‑entity finance operations across Singapore, Malaysia, India, and the USA. The role focuses on accurate transaction recording, timely closes, and reliable invoicing and payroll processes.

You will manage reconciliations, journal entries, client invoicing, and audit-ready records while coordinating cross-border activities with steadily improving accuracy and pace.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of relevant accounting work experience.
• Full set of accounts experience preferred.
• Experience for Singapore, Malaysia, India, USA entities required.
• Natural multi-tasker who works under deadlines.
• Comfortable working across Singapore, Malaysia, USA and India contexts.
• Able to use accounting software, preferably Tally.
• Able to communicate with on-site colleagues and clients.
• MS Office proficiency (Word/Excel).

Responsibilities

• Assist Accounts department in accounting activities for Singapore, Malaysia, India and USA entities.
• Own the books: record transactions accurately and keep our financial data clean and current.
• Drive timely bank reconciliations and month-end/year-end closing.
• Process supplier invoices with precision and pace.
• Stay on top of customer payments and chase outstanding receivables.
• Prepare journal entries and supporting schedules for audit requirements.
• Be custodian of financial records; audit-ready.
• Manage records of Scope of Work for overseas clients and invoicing accordingly.
• Manage invoicing from preparation to filing for records.
• Meet deadlines for payroll, local payroll and tax returns.
• Handle miscellaneous transactions like payroll, expense claims, timesheets, insurance, office supplies, fixed assets.

Depending upon the level of competency and prior experience, incumbent shall be assisting in some of the following areas:

• Shall assist Accounts department in accounting activities for Singapore, Malaysia, India and USA entities;
• Own the books: record transactions accurately and keep our financial data clean and current;
• Drive timely bank reconciliations and play a hands‑on role in month‑end and year‑end closing.
• Process supplier invoices with precision and pace: accuracy matters, and so does speed.
• Stay on top of customer payments and proactively chase outstanding receivables — cash flow is king.
• Prepare journal entries and supporting schedules with the rigour as per audit requirements.
• Be the custodian of our financial records: meticulous, organised, and always audit‑ready.
• Manage the records of Scope of Work for the services being offered to overseas (Singapore, Malaysia) clients and invoicing accordingly;
• Shall manage invoicing process from preparation to submission to filing it for records;
• Shall manage in meeting the stipulated dead-lines for various transactions like payroll,
• local payroll and tax returns etc.
• Responsible for miscellaneous transactions like payroll, expense claims management, time‑sheet management, health/corporate insurance premiums, office supplies, fixed‑asset management etc.

Qualifications and Experience :

• Degree in Accounting or equivalent;
• At least 5 years of relevant accounting (AR, AP, GL, reconciliation, month end closing, FS, compliances etc.) work experience within IT services industry is required;
• Candidates with full set of accounts experience shall be preferred.
• Accounting experience for Singapore, Malaysia, India, USA entities shall be required;
• A natural multi-tasker who thrives under pressure and never drops the ball on deadlines.
• Comfortable working across Singapore, Malaysia, USA and India contexts - cross-border coordination is second nature to you.
• Able to use an accounting software, preferably Tally;
• Able to communicate with on‐site colleagues and clients with confidence and on a regular basis;
• Working with desired accuracy and turn‑around time is required;
• Must be proficient in MS Office applications like Word/Excel;
