• Supervise assembly operators to maintain smooth workflow and output.
• Utilize manpower, machines, tools, and materials efficiently.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and process sheets.
• Ensure correct hardware assembly per quality standards.
• Monitor line performance and reduce rework.
• Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, Stores for uninterrupted production.
• Verify component availability and issue materials on time.
• Prepare daily production and shift handover reports.
• Train operators on assembly processes and safety.
• Reduce waste through continuous improvements; apply 5S and housekeeping.
• Support new product trials and process improvements.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Assembly Supervisor to manage day-to-day production and assembly activities in our hardware manufacturing unit. The candidate should have strong technical knowledge of sheet metal, Drawing readings & assembly operations, hands-on experience in production processes, and the ability to ensure productivity, quality, and timely dispatch of finished goods.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, monitor, and control daily production and assembly activities to achieve production targets.
• Supervise assembly operators and production staff to ensure smooth workflow and optimum productivity.
• Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machines, tools, and materials.
• Manage sheet metal, assembly, and hardware manufacturing operations.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, process sheets, and assembly instructions.
• Ensure correct assembly of hardware products as per quality standards and specifications.
• Monitor assembly line performance and take corrective actions to improve productivity and reduce rework.
• Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, and Stores departments for uninterrupted production.
• Verify component availability and ensure timely material issuance for assembly activities.
• Prepare daily production reports, manpower reports, and shift handover records.
• Train and guide operators on assembly processes, quality requirements, and safety practices.
• Reduce rejection, rework, and material wastage through continuous process improvements.
• Ensure proper implementation of 5S, safety, and housekeeping standards on the shop floor.
• Monitor production efficiency, line balancing, and achievement of daily output targets.
• Support new product development trials and process improvements in assembly operations.
