Job summary

NBC Bearings, part of National Engineering Industries Ltd., Jaipur plant seeks an experienced Mechanical Engineer to drive reliability, TPM and quality improvement. You will ensure breakdown-free machine availability and achieve daily production targets per the operation plan.

The role requires 7–11 years in mechanical/production roles, with a B.Tech in Mechanical engineering and hands-on SAP, MS Excel & PowerPoint, plus knowledge of QMS, SPC and process/machine fundamentals.

Qualifications

• Educational background in engineering with emphasis on mechanical discipline.
• Experience with QMS, SPC concepts and SAP usage.
• 7–11 years of total experience in related production/mechanical roles.

Responsibilities

• Ensure availability of breakdown-free machines and meet daily production targets.
• Follow QMS, SOPs and WI; participate in continuous quality improvement.
• Collaborate with Metallurgy Lab and other departments for quality and process issues.

Job description

• To make sure availability of breakdown free machines
• To achieve daily production targets as per previous operation plan
• Follow laid down QMS
• Achieve continual improvement with working on loss matrix and quality gaps
• Perform 5M change as per laid down system
• OEE
• Reliability
• FTR %

Product Quality

• Execute machine performance & ensure all Poka-yoke functioning
• Working with other departments to control input quality in order to ensure output quality
• Ensure adherence to working SOP & WI
• Perform continuous improvement on basis of data analysis, audit feedbacks and other inputs for quality and rejection analysis
• Conduct disassembly Reduction projects (Assembly)
• Proper closure of PDI, Customer complaint & horizontal deployment(Assembly)
• Follow-up with Metallurgy Lab for daily results (Heat Treatment)
• Audit NC during external audit

TPM

• Implement cell lines Step shifting plan
• Ensure adherence to 5S, and strengthening all TPM pillar
• Adherence to Step shifting
• Lines wise 5S score
• To follow and execute SKU – item code wise production plan
• Execute batch completion
• Line wise Reliability

Cost

• Implement and reduce dis-assembly (assembly)
• Cost saving INR

• Follow safety system and norms & ensure zero accidents
